Looks ravishing in red sari, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had luncheon with the French President Francois Hollande, who was the special guest at the Republic Day celebration. Apart from Aishwarya, superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Aditya Chopra were also invited for the luncheon in New Delhi on 26 January (Republic Day).
Aishwarya looks truly Indian in a red Banarasi sari designed by Swati and Sunaina. Polki jewellery, red bindi, matching lip colour and roses tugged in her hair.
The official Twitter account of Presidency of the French Republic and the Elysee Palace shared a picture of Aishwarya meeting him for the luncheon. The tweet reads, "@ fhollande Francophiles meet several Indian personalities , including actress Aishwarya Rai #IndePR (sic)."

Both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan were awarded by the French government. The superstar was accorded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres award for his "exceptional career" in 2007, In 2014, he received the Legion of Honour, France's highest civilian award.
In the year 2012, the French authorities bestowed Ash with their second highest civilian award - Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) - for her contribution to arts.
The luncheon is being hosted at a prominent industrialist's residence in Delhi.
