Varun Dhawan to replace Salman Khan in Judwaa sequel

Varun Dhawan is currently one of the busiest actors of the btown. While he is already busy shooting for Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom, the young actor has his hands full with movie offers. Buzz is that daddy David Dhawan is making a sequel of his 1997 film Judwaa and is planning to take Varun in the lead role. Talks about the sequel have been going in for a long time now and various actors have been considered for the role. However, the Badlapur actor has been finalized for the role

Salman Khan played the double role in Judwaa and this time Varun will fit into his shoes with the second installment. This is not the first time the young actor has replaced Salman Khan in a film. Varun was considered over the bollywood superstar for Karan Johar’s Shuddi. Buzz was that Karan couldn’t afford Salman’s charges and hence roped in the young actor. Reports of difference between KJo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan were making rounds of news as well, but no confirmations were received on the same. The latest report is that KJo has shelved the project for now.

David Dhawan has directed Varun in the past for Main Tera Hero, which revealed the actor’s comic side to the fans. The filmmaker is currently discussing the script with Varun in Dubai (on the sets of Dishoom). So Varun’s fans aren’t you super excited to watch the comic side of your favorite star yet again.

After his bollywood debut in 2012 with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, Varun has come a long way. He has experimented with variety of roles and has also received accolades for his performance. The leading lady for David Dhawan’s film is yet to be finalised.
