Finally:Tiger Shroff confirms to be in Student Of The Year 2

So finally here comes a clarification on the status of Student Of The Year 2 that’s been in talks since forever now. While speculations were rife that Karan Johar has shelved the sequel considering no actress is willing to be a part of it. Tiger Shroff, who is the only finalised cast of the SOTY 2 sequel so far, clarifies that the film is very much on track and that it’s all set to go on floors by early next year. Yes. In interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Tiger, while talking about his line up of forthcoming films, said, “Early next year, I start Student of the Year 2. That’s the only film I’ve confirmed my dates for as of now. The rest will depend on how long this shoot takes. The Rambo shoot is scheduled to kick off towards the end of next year. Now the question is, which actress has been signed opposite Tiger in SOTY 2. If the buzz is anything to go by then the sequel will have not one but two actresses with names like Sara Ali Khan, Jhanvi Kapoor, Disha Patani, Chunkey Pandey’s daughter Ananya in the running. But considering Sara and Jhanvi have already picked their launch pads with their respective films – Kedarnath and Dhadak, we wonder if Tiger’s girlfriend Disha and Ananya have been locked as the final choice.

When Tiger was asked about taking up a hit franchise like Student Of The Year, he had said, “As for SOTY 2, it is more pressurizing for me, because those are big shoes to fill. It was the launch pad for Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, and was a successful film that was also loved by people. It is Karan [Johar] sir’s baby. He told me that he gets a lot of mails from people asking him when he would go on floors with the sequel. It is an honour to work with Karan sir.
