The stage is set for 2.0 – a film which brings Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Shankar together. The carpet has been rolled out and the audience is eagerly waiting to witness the biggest film event of 2017 – the 2.0 audio launch in Dubai. It is set at Dubai’s Burj Park which sits beside the world-famous Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The audio launch of 2.0 is probably the most talked about event in the past one week and the makers of the film are making sure that they live up to expectations.
It is not a stretch to say 2.0’s audio launch is one of the biggest events in the history of Indian cinema. Zee Tamil has declared an exclusive telecast of the event on November 19, 2017 starting at 4 pm, star-studded with Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, with music by AR Rahman. It will be subsequent to a tribute celebrating his strong partnership with director Shankar in the making of blockbuster movies like Gentleman, Sivaji – The Boss, Enthiran, Jeans and many more. During the launch, Superstar Rajinikanth will be conferred with a special enthusiastic performance that will show his magnanimity and simplicity as an actor that has made him an integral part of the lives of Tamil audience around the world. When Thalaivar Rajinikanth asked at the launch conference the reason behind his simplicity, he replied, saying, “Nobody pays me to act in my real life, so I’m simple.”
The launch event promises to showcase some stunning musical performances by Sid Sriram, Blaaze, Arjun Chandy and Shashaa Tirupati.
The audio launch event has been a much-awaited one. It will be hosted by Telugu actor, Rana Daggubati, Bollywood director Karan Johar and Tamil Nadu’s favourite radio jockey, RJ Balaji.
Rajinikanth. 2.0, which is hyped as the most expensive film not just in India, but across Asia, marks Akshay’s debut in Tamil Cinema. 2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 movie Robot, which starred Rajinikanth with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film will be released on January 25, 2018.
