Fatima Sana Shaikh to star in ‘Life In A Metro’ sequel

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ was a biggest disaster of 2018 but one of the lead actresses of the multi-starrer movie Fatima Sana Shaikh has bagged her third Bollywood movie. The ‘Danga’ actress has been approached for Anurag Basu’s ‘Life In A Metro’ sequel and Fatima readily accepted.

Confirming the news of doing the sequel, she told the tabloid, “As soon as I heard that he [Basu] was making a movie, and was interested in [casting] me, I was excited. I didn't care about the script. There are some directors whose worlds you simply wish to be part of”, adding that apart from Basu, Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's offerings are those she would "shut my eyes and say yes to."

‘Life In A Metro’ is a 2007 multi-starrer blockbuster movie. The film revolves around the lives of the people in metro. It featured Shilpa Shetty, Dharmendra, Shiney Ahuja, Kangana Ranaut, Sharman Joshi among others.

The actress also revealed that she discusses work with mentor Aamir Khan to a certain limit. "We talk about scripts and characters, but I won't ask him what I am lacking in as an actor." Shaikh told the tabloid.

It was also buzzed that Fatima was dating Aamir Khan. But the actress quashes off the report saying, “It’s very weird. My mother keeps on watching TV and the other day she showed me ‘Your photo has come’ and I was like ‘Read the headline to know what’s written. It used to disturb me initially, and I used to feel the need to explain myself. But now, I do not feel the need to explain because I feel no matter what you do, people will talk about you.”

She had further added, “If someone accuses you of something, the first instinct is to come out and tell, ‘Listen, why do you think it is like this?’ If you are an aggressive person, you will attack. If you are a submissive person, even then you will talk about it.”
