Esha Gupta replaces Jacqueline in ‘Krissh 2′?

Since the time Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krissh 2’ has been launched, there has been a shuffling of names for the second female lead in the flick. After Kangana Ranaut and Sonakshi Sinha, Chitrangada Singh was finalized for the role.

Later, she backed out on account of some date problems and was replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez. Now, it seems that Fernandez too is not happy with what the role has to offer for her and the next name to pop up is the Kingfisher girl Esha Gupta.

Esha, who is often called the desi Angelina Jolie, has scorched the pages of Kingfisher calendars and will be making her Bollywood debut in Vishesh Films’ next project titled Informer. Director Kunal Deshmukh is all praises for Esha and feels that she is just suited for the role, which is of a bindas typical Delhi girl. Kunal says, “The character is slightly teekhi, muhphat, she isn’t the type to sit back and is used to being heckled by men. That’s our character, and Esha fits in well.”

Akki, a romantic Don in ‘OUATIM 2’

Director Milan Luthria is one busy man these days. Apart from his new movie The Dirty Picture, he is also focusing on his forthcoming film, the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The sequel will have Akshay Kumar essaying the lead role.

In the sequel, Akshay will play a romantic Dawood Ibrahim. Milan Luthria says, “the latter promises a different take on the underworld. Unlike the original, it’ll show the romantic side of underworld in a big way.”

Any guess on who would be playing Akki’s lady love in the film? Well, if buzz is to be believed, Milan and producer Ekta Kapoor might just rope in Kareena Kapoor. Apparently, Bebo has even read the script.
The director stresses on the fact that the film sequel will see less of violence and more of love and romance. It would be a happy and entertaining film.

Akshay Kumar unveiled Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 at GIFTH AWARDS in May.

DAMADAMM Movie Review

The girls steal the show in Himesh Reshammiya’s comeback film

So here he is. Himesh Reshammiya is back in front of the camera. This time he moves away from the wannabe-rockstar image to play a working-class nerd. Himesh’s Sameer is a bit of an idiot. So he celebrates the departure of his over-possessive bossy girlfriend Shikha (Purbi Joshi) by dancing on the streets, making weird faces at passing chicks (who should be shown reciprocating with a stern scowl if not a slap but are instead shown giggling), messing up his tidy apartment and binging on booze with his unsavoury boss who keeps giving our Sameer wrong advice on how to handle women, particularly bossy over-possessive girlfriends.

Damadamm has its nice sweet wholesome moments. It?s one of those innocuous romcoms that neither leave you impressed nor cold. The heartwarming moments come on when you are most expecting them and linger on screen long enough to make you forget how annoyingly misguided a character the hero really is.

There is a ring of truth to Sameer’s self-destructive rejection of a five-year-old seemingly stifling relationship for a posh fling in the tempting lap of luxury with his boss’ classy sister Sanjana (Sonal Sehgal). Shahrukh Khan had done the same in Aziz Mirza’s Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, giving up the comfort of true love for a fling with a rich heiress. To her credit, Sonal Sehgal doesn’t play the ‘other woman’ as a bitch. She echoes Sushmita Sen’s tranquil seductiveness from Goldie Behl’s Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. And that’s high praise.

Remarkably, Surbat Sinha’s screenplay has a believable trio of protagonists — flawed, fumbling, all too human. But the peripheral characters are a letdown. They aren’t only sketchy but also clumsily etched into the plot.

Also the music, Himesh Reshammiya’s mainstay, is uninspiring and often obtrusive. The track Ishq unplugged comes at an embarrassing juncture when the love triangle is in need of a solution, not a song.

What wins you over is the director Swapna Waghmare’s earnestness. She has her heart in the right place. So does the film. Some of the time. For the rest, you’ve to grin and bear the excessive zeal of a supporting cast and a music score that doesn’t know where to draw the line.

Himesh Reshammiya’s performance is that of a goofy Everyman, a bit of a messed-up soul who finally admits he needs a bullying girlfriend to get him through the complexities of life. Himesh works his act around the character’s weaknesses and his own limitations as an actor.

It is the underused Purbi Joshi as Himesh’s overbearing girlfriend who steals the show. She imparts a sense of lived-in authenticity to her role, almost at times going beyond the script in search of her character’s lost soul. Why don’t we get to see more of this pretty talented girl in our films?

Film: Damadamm; Cast: Himesh Reshammiya, Purbi Joshi, Sonal Sehgal; Director: Swapna Waghmare.

DON 2: New Trailer

Watch the latest theatrical trailer of Farhan Akhtar’s ambitious Shahrukh Khan starrer

Despite the huge success of Salman Khan’s Ready and Bodyguard, it seems like this year actually belongs to the King Khan. Even as  the positive reviews of SRK’s superhero flick trickle in, we get a glimpse into his next – the slick and sexy Don 2.

Kudos to Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for the stylish and edgy look of the film. You will realise after watching the trailer that while Priyanka Chopra has turned Don’s enemy, Boman Irani and Don have joined hands. Om Puri seems just as frustrated as he was, in the previous Don.

Kunal Kapoor and Lara Dutta are the new entrants in the plot. But we definitely expect a huge twist to the proceedings just like the first edition. Apparently, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have added a thump to the theme music, taking the excitement to a new high.

Do watch it and let us know if you like it.

‘Rockstar’ Ranbir to enter ‘Bigg Boss 5′ house?

He just might do so to promote his upcoming film

The trend of stars using popular television shows to promote their movies, continues. While Shahrukh Khan refused to promote RA.One on rival Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss 5, Ranbir Kapoor has no such qualms with his Rockstar.

And with a house almost full of women only, it’s not surprising that ladies’ man Ranbir is more than happy to be a part of the show for a few hours. Ranbir and Mohit Chauhan will be visiting the sets of Bigg Boss 5, but we are yet to be sure if he will enter the house and speak to the female contestants in person.

The buzz is that Mohit and Ranbir have been trying to convince co-host Sanjay Dutt to let them meet the contestants. Anyone else wondering why he is not asking Salman to intervene instead? Maybe all that claims of just being friends with Katrina Kaif were not the whole truth? Wot say?

Kareena Kapoor unveiled at Tussauds

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Thursday unveiled her wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in Blackpool, Britain.

"It is an honour and a privilege for me to have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for the Indian cinema, " Kareena said in a statement.

It took four months to create the wax statue, which cost 150, 000 pounds.

"The figure looks incredible and is so life-like. I had to do a double take when I saw myself - they have really done a superb job at capturing my essence, " she added.

The unveiling of Kareena's wax figure also flagged off a global exhibition, where the statues of Bollywood stars will be taken to six major cities around the world to be exhibited, before they are brought back to Blackpool in January next year.

Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai too have their wax figures in Tussauds'.

SRK’s ‘RA.One’ rules the worldwide box office!

RA.One collected Rs. 26.5 crore across the world on its opening day (including Rs. 18.5 crore in India), beating Bodyguard’s mighty Rs. 21 crore

The opening salvos have been fired and it’s round one to SRK. The numbers for Shahrukh Khan’s magnum opus RA.One are out and they tell a very interesting tale. Opinions may differ, but numbers don’t lie and the hard fact is that RA.One collected Rs. 26.5 crore across the world on its opening day (including Rs. 18.5 crore in India), beating Bodyguard’s mighty Rs. 21 crore. SRK supporters may argue that the opening day, Wednesday, coincided with the Diwali puja performed by millions of people thus reducing footfall and people would turn out in larger numbers subsequently. That turned out to be the case and on Thursday the audience turned out en masse. On day two, RA.One netted a humongous Rs. 25.1 crore in India alone, making it the highest ever collection on a single day for an Indian film.

Salman fans may argue that RA.One had the added advantage of being released in dubbed Tamil, Telugu and 3D versions. But then again, Bodyguard couldn’t do that because it appeared in its Bollywood avatar after being hits in Malayalam and Tamil. It was a different story in south India that changed rapidly. As insurance, SRK had roped in Superstar Rajinikanth for a cameo, but word quickly spread in the south that the appearance lasts barely a minute. With Suriya’s 7Aam Arivu and Vijay’s Velayudham competing for eyeballs, the good southern folk opted for those instead. However, since those films proved to be underwhelming, the South turned to good old SRK and collections jumped 60-100% on Thursday.

The only bad news for SRK is that pirated versions of RA.One are circulating freely on the internet, including on the film’s official partner YouTube. This begs the question, quis custodiet ipsos custodies? Which, in case your Latin ain’t what it used to be, gentle reader, means ‘who will guard the guardians?’

Meanwhile, the corporate honchos at Eros International, who shelled out Rs. 150 crore to buy SRK’s vanity project, are ecstatic. Since Cineswami is kind and the lovely Bollywoodlife readers need their beauty sleep, here’s some zzz-speak that’ll make you nod right off.

Nandu Ahuja, Sr VP, Distribution, Eros International Media Ltd said, “We are witnessing unparalleled collections across the country with record breaking figures from different territories. Business usually gets hampered on Diwali day in the evening due to Laxmi puja, despite which RA.One has performed exceptionally well across the country and has proved to be the biggest ever Diwali day release. The film has opened at 95 to 100 percent collections from most territories and is a sure sign of one of the biggest blockbusters in the making in Bollywood. The second day figures have also broken records for the highest collections for a single day for an Indian film.”

Kamal Jain, Group CFO, Eros International Media Ltd added, “Majority of the film’s costs have been recovered before the film hit theatres and the box office numbers are exemplary giving major boost to profitability. We are extremely happy with the box office performance of the film as the same is very much in line with our expectations.”

A Very Happy Diwali To All Of You

We Tumbring wish you all a very happy Diwali. May this festive season of light bring joy and happiness to your lives. We also take this opportunity to wish you a prosperous year ahead.

Movie Review: Ra.One

After all the hype and aggressive marketing, and the big, quintessential Shah Rukh Khan sell, Ra.One finally opened in theatres today in both 2D and 3D formats. This review is for the 2D version of the film.

SRK plays a bumbling geek, Shekhar Subramaniam, who works in the video-gaming department of Barron Industries in London with a penchant for eating noodles with curd. He is married to an author-in-progress, Sonia, played by Kareena Kapoor and they have a bright, young son, Prateek, played by debutant Armaan Verma. Even though the two couldn’t be more different in their Shekhar and Sonia avatars, their on-screen marriage works beautifully.

Curly wig in place, SRK pulls off the South-Indian techie-look physically, but his South Indian accent comes and goes in spurts and is rather inconsistent throughout his enactment of Shekhar. What is consistent though, and very apparent, is him seeking Prateek’s approval desperately and wanting to turn into a  “daddy cool” figure in his eyes. That is what spurs him into action and the concept of a very powerful, cool and invincible villain comes to fruition in his latest video game enterprise, called Ra.One, much to the delight of Prateek.

On the day of the game’s launch, a very excited Prateek plays the game as Lucifer — his online gaming alias. Ra.One — the villian  — threatens him not to leave the game till he vanquishes him, saying if he did, he would hunt him down and kill him. Not taking him seriously, Prateek goes home, leaving his father and his work colleague, Akashi, played by Tom Wu, and Jenny, played by Shahana Goswami, to figure out the errors in the game.

This is  where the film really starts, or rather, the game begins. Ra.One, played by Arjun Rampal, takes on a dangerous life of its own outside the gaming console world and begins his hunt for Lucifer.

Arjun makes bald look beautiful as he walks and talks the part of Ra.One, though there’s not much to say, except the clever line, “Tum log Raavan ko har saal is liye maarte ho kyunki tum jaante ho ki Raavan kabhi nahin marta.”

SRK as G.One, the Indian super hero is an original in design, form and speech, with his own mannerisms and blue body suit, and of course, the matching blue eyes. Even though the film borrows heavily from many Hollywood super heroes like Spiderman, Terminator and Knight Rider, to name a few, there are only fleeting glimpses of the same in dramatic action scenes, saving it from being some sort of Superspiderbatminator rip-off!

SRK’s lean frame lends itself well to his superhero antics as does his photo-shopped version of Shekhar, whose face G.One is modelled on. Despite being the eternal romantic hero on celluloid, SRK owns the robotic space he inhabits as G.One very convincingly. After all, he is a super star in real life and he’s taken his game to the next level with super hero G.One on reel. Kareena looks stunning and plays her role just right, as one would expect an actress of her calibre and experience to.

Anubhav Sinha, the director of the film has done a marvelous job in the action sequences – they are new age and take full advantage of technological advancements in the scientific and digital world. The Mumbai local train sequence is shot fabulously. The emotional scenes, too are very engaging — despite all the digital wizardry going on in the film.

The film has its share of comic sequences, my favourite being the one where Kareena is outside the Mumbai airport with G.One and Prateek, and Rajnikanth makes a special appearance as Chitti from Robot! It is hilarious! Kareena covers her head with a scarf in absolute reverence and awe as she introduces Rajnikanth to G.One as “Super hero number one, Rajni Sir.” There are some forced gags too, like the airport guy who frisks SRK a tad too lasciviously and the opening scene of the film that has a Knight Rider-esque SRK — in “shampoo-ad” length hair as Lucifer — fighting off three Ninja girls named Uski Lee, Iski Lee and Sabki Lee, cheap thrills to say the least. After fending off the Ninjas, he takes on another baddie, Sanjay Dutt who’s holding Priyanka Chopra hostage. Dutt and Chopra make special appearances in the film. Thankfully, the sequence is just Prateek day-dreaming in class at school! I’m surprised Head & Shoulders weren’t solicited for an in-film endorsement with SRK’s flying locks in the scene! Amitabh Bachchan lends his baritone in a voice-over in the film.

The screenplay is seamless and the drama and shenanigans keep you entertained throughout. Armaan Verma who plays Prateek makes a fantastic debut in the film – matching his acting skills with Kareena and SRK all the way. You actually don’t feel the over two and a half hour length of the film, with its racy pace and edgy action. The film is interspersed with some endearing emotional moments and the chartbusting Chammak Challo, Dildaara and Criminal songs.

In Chammak Challo, sung by the international singer, Akon, SRK looks like the superstar he is and it is a very welcome change, even if it’s just for the duration of the song, from his blue-eyed G.One look! Kareena and SRK are fabulous together. The booty shakin’ step in Criminal, also sung by Akon, is going to be the new dance move in town.

On the whole, this is how I would sum up Ra.One :
Story.One – Good
Screenplay.One – Great
Music.One – Excellent
Action.One – Superb
Direction.One – Great
Camera.One – Excellent
Special Effects.One – Brilliant

Acting.One -
SRK.One – Great
Kareena.One – Superb
Armaan.One – Excellent
Arjun.One – Good

Is Esha Deol getting married?

The Dhoom girl is planning to tie the knot post Tell Me O Kkhuda’s release

Though we could not spot an engagement ring on her finger, the buzz that Esha Deol is engaged to a businessman is doing the rounds. Esha’s film Tell Me O Kkhuda, directed by her mother Hema Malini is up for release next week, but we are told that’s not the only thing the 28-year-old is looking forward to.

A friend of Esha revealed to a newspaper that Bandra boy Bharat Takhtani and Esha have been in a relationship for a very long time and are engaged, too! Esha, who has been earlier linked with actor Aftab Shivdasani, maintained a clichéd ‘No comments’ stand when quizzed about the special man in her life. So, she’s not engaged. Or is she? “My engagement would be a grand affair. Why would I be hiding it from the world? It will be a proud moment for me,” declared Esha in an interview to the paper. Okay Esha, ‘we are just friends’ is the diplomatic stance stars take, but we expected a better and forthright response from a bindass girl like you!

Ranbir Rocks The College Students !!!

India’s heartthrob and ROCKSTAR Ranbir Kapoor recently made the MBA students of NMIMS, Mumbai go crazy with an exciting interaction held at the college!

Organized by NDTV, host Vikram Thapa led a friendly discussion with a huge live audience of college students and Team ROCKSTAR: Ranbir Kapoor, Director Imtiaz Ali, Nargis Fakhri and voice of ROCKSTAR: singer Mohit Chauhan in the magnificent campus auditorium.

What they didn’t anticipate was the frenzy they generated! Upon hearing that the stars have arrived at NMIMS, the news spread like wildfire and the students from neighboring colleges such as UPG, Mithibai, etc also gathered on the roads to catch a glimpse, creating lots of chaos and traffic!Once inside NMIMS, the stars found the auditorium was fully packed, with students even sitting on the floor and thousands had thronged the hall to catch a glimpse of Team ROCKSTAR!

The students asked many interesting questions on the film and in general, and most could not resist from going up to the stage to get a hug from Ranbir! The rock-star then took a guitar in his hands and led the way for a great fun filled jamming session with Mohit Chauhan and the students. The entire crowd mobbed the team all the way to their cars, beseeching the team for autographs and photos!

Well, looks it was definitely one amazing interaction never to be forgotten by the students!

Nargis gets a birthday surprise from Ranbir !!

The Rockstar couple celebrated with chocolate cake, candles and loads of songs on board a plane!

Ranbir Kapoor sure knows how to treat a girl. Even if she is just his ‘good friend’ and Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri.

We heard that Ranbir threw a surprise birthday party for Nargis. Nothing new in that, you say? Wait till you heard where the party was held – in an aeroplane, 20,000 feet up in the air! Yes, Ranbir, Nargis, Mohit Chauhan and the film’s producer Hiren Gandhi were enroute to Nagpur to promote their film on the debutante’s birthday.

Ranbir smuggled in an amazing chocolate cake from a Mumbai bakery on to the flight without Nargis getting wind of it. Once they were airborne, he got one of her assistants to take Nargis to a different cabin on a flimsy excuse. When she came back, the entire team yelled ‘Surprise!’ and presented her with the cake.

All of them even sang ‘Happy birthday’ as she blew out the candles and cut the cake. Needless to say, Nargis was truly surprised. She didn’t know the team was aware it was her birthday that day. Of course, she was thrilled with the effort the team had taken to make sure she had a great day.

We are sure this is one birthday she’ll remember for a long time.

RA.ONE new song: Raftaarein

Watch Vishal-Shekhar’s pulsating tribute to RD Burman

Composers Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani are two of the biggest fans of RD Burman and this song from RA.One proves it once and for all. Not only has the duo composed the song, but also sung it in the spirit of the legendary music director. Written by Vishal, Raftaarein is said to be the theme song for Shahrukh Khan’s superhero film and is catching on, especially with fans of RD Burman.

The Chammak challo song is topping the charts worldwide and the Tamil version of the song is also being highly appreciated by the masses. The OST of RA.One will hopefullu undo the damage done to the music composer-duo by David Dhawan’s Rascals.

Shruti Hassan and Siddhartha head for a splitsville

Just a few months ago, news did the rounds that Shruti Haasan and Sidhharth were in a living-in relationship and now, the latest buzz is that the couple have split and have gone different ways. The duo were dating for for more than a year.

Shruti and Siddharth were a happy couple till recently when Shruti moved in with Sid. Their relationship ended on a sour note.

As a source tells a tabloid, “It is a very sad end to Shruti and Siddharth’s relationship. The two were very much in love in the beginning. In fact, Kamal Haasan was also happy with it. He approved of Siddharth.”

The couple shared a great profesional bond too. They were seen together in a couple of South films. they will soon be seen in another yet to be released flick ‘Oh My Friend’, which is a romantic one.

Hrithik in hospital !!!

Hrithik Roshan was hospitalized after being hurt when playing Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in Karan Johar's dream remake ‘Agneepath’. So, its director Karan Malhotra canceled the film’s shooting until the actor recovers completely. The hospital staff refused to disclose the details of the actor’s illness.

According to insiders, the actor was supposed to lift a burly fighter, who weighed nearly 110 kg during a scene. Seems that this event put pressure on the actor’s back, and he started suffering acute pain.

However, Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan, said, "Fighter’s scene didn’t pose any problem, but the actor’s continuous shooting for TV show Just Dance and Karan Johar's film ‘Agneepath’ pressed him a lot. Hopefully, the actor will soon return to work and complete KJO’s ‘Agneepath’.

Hrithik is also, known for perfection, whether in a song, dance or a scene. Recently, this put a lot of pressure on his hairstylist Aalim Hakim, who had to attend to his star for 36 hours continuously during the shoot of a TV show. This is another matter that Aalim had his feet swollen, but didn’t complain. After all, Aalim is the star’s fan.

Sonam is a drama queen: Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor, in an upbeat mood, talks about his controversies and other things around him.

Your film Rockstar is said to have Rs. 70 crores riding on it. Does that make you a little more anxious about its outcome?

I don't know what the cost of the film is. I don't think that much is true, but I just look at this film as an opportunity to work with a director of Imtiaz Ali's calibre. It is a role of a lifetime offered to me at such an early age.

We just surrendered to the film and didn't realise when it started and when it ended. After it got over, I became so detached that I just spent time like a vegetable.

You had said that you want to be a director soon.

I have been passionate about wanting to make a movie. But I think it is an immature ambition as of now. I have ideas, but my disadvantage is that I can't write. I am sure that will happen in two or three years.

You also want to be a father by the age of 32.

(Laughing) That again was an immature statement. I want to get married for the right reason. Physical attraction might be important but there has to be that deep connect.

Children are the organic outcome of that and they will come when they have to come. I am 29, so I will have to get married now to get that child by 32. That's not happening now.

How did you manage to get the casanova image?

I don't know. Firstly, I did Bachna Ae Haseeno, and then I started seeing an actress and everyone was talking about it; lot of link-ups happened, next I know I was called a casanova.

Actually, you got the casanova tag after your break-up with Deepika.

Yeah, may be. I never take these tags seriously. A lot of people said I am the next thing ¦ I don't even take that seriously.

Do you feel bad being called a casanova?

I used to feel bad, but now I am immune to it. I already know that I will be linked to every newcomer that I work with. I am single and if I want to have dinner with someone there is nothing wrong with that.

Are your parents upset about the tag?

They must be upset, but they don't show it to me. They know that I work hard. I am one of the very few in the industry who is single, so I guess they let me be. I have grown up in a film family. I know this is a fickle place. Today, hit hai toh fit hai.

Some people say that I am successful, some find me good looking, but I just want to focus on my work. My mother grounded both Riddhima and me. We are what we are, because of her. I know all this fan following will go away if I don't continue being part of successful films.

Are you comfortable with the attention that you get from girls?

Yes. I love my shirt, my clothes getting torn, I love to sign autographs.

And you do realise it is transient?

I do realise that this is a dangerous place to be. Yahan sab chadhte sooraj ko salaam karte hai. It is better to have real people around your friends, your parents, the the one you love. It is so easy to get swayed by all the attention that at times it is necessary that you get back to the real world.

I have seen my father going through it. He was a leading actor for 30 years and then he sat at home wondering where it all went. That transition from being a lead actor to a character actor is not easy. But dad is a passionate guy and he is enjoying this phase now.

Why do we keep hearing about your on/off friendship with Imran Khan?

I respect him, he is a nice, mature person, but we have never been the best of friends. We all know each other Prateik, Shahid, me, Imran. Trying to pit us against each other is exaggerated; it is fun because it drives us both to work hard. We are expected to take the legacy of the Khans forward, and that's a big responsibility.

I want my films to do as well as the Khans' films, may be I am thinking too big, but they have been here for 25 years. It takes time to achieve that, but I know I will do that, I want to achieve greater heights.

Being on top matters so much to you?

Respect matters to me the most. I don't know what to do with myself when I am not on the sets. I feel alive on the sets. All my life I have been a very inexpressive person; my movies give me the opportunity to express myself.

Did you turn down My Friend Pinto?

It is really unfair for me to talk about a movie, which I have refused. I don't even regret when those films do well.

Like Delhi Belly?

Maybe, but I am happy with my career graph.

Now you are doing a film with Deepika Padukone. Will it be awkward working with your ex-girlfriend?

I understand how much baggage Deepika and I come with because everybody knows about our relationship. We need to get rid of the baggage. Deepika and I are in a positive place today. I wish that she is my friend all my life. She has moved on and so have I.

But you can't cut off a person from your life because your relationship is not working. She has been a part of my life when I was growing up and we shared a beautiful relationship. I wouldn't like to stay away from her because we are not together.

Then what happened when she and Sonam spoke about you at Karan's chat show?

I didn't feel that bad. I know Sonam since childhood and I will always be fond of her. She is a bit of a drama queen but I like her. If she doesn't find me sexy it's okay, she has the courage to say that on a public platform.

Your dad we hear is your worst critic.

Dad is so honest. He didn't even watch Anjaana Anjaani, because he didn't like the trailers. So, thanks to him, I get a reality check. My performances haven't yet made him go ga-ga over them. Hopefully, he will like Rockstar.

Check out this smashing new Don 2 poster!

Don 2, which hits cinemas on December 23 this year, will showcase in 3D.
The film, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is being converted to the 3D format and will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu for release.

Aamir delays Salman Ek Tha Tiger's release

Salman Khan will now have more time in hand to work on Ek Tha Tiger as its release date has been postponed.

"News Break: Yash Raj's @BeingSalmanKhan starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger', which was scheduled for 1 June 2012 release, will now release on Eid 2012," movie expert Taran Adarsh tweeted.

AamirWonder why the release was delayed? Perhaps, Aamir did not want to take the risk of clashing with 'Dabangg' Khan. According to Adarsh, Aamir requested Salman and Aditya Chopra to shift Ek Tha Tiger's release date and they relented.

"Since Aamir wanted to release his next film, directed by Reema Kagti, on 1 June, he requested Salman & Adi Chopra to shift Ek Tha Tiger, tweeted Adarsh.

While Katrina Kaif is paired opposite Salman in Ek Tha Tiger, Rani Mukherjee would be romancing Aamir in Reema Kagti's Dhuaan. Which one are you planning to watch?

OUATIM Movie Sequel Will Come In August 2012

Akshay Kumar hasn’t shot a single day for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 so far but the makers have plans to bring this underworld gaga right on schedule next Independence day weekend. Though there have been speculations around whether this is a wishful thinking or indeed a definite possibility, courtesy quite a few other assignments that he is currently engaged on, those close to Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria claim that the producer and the director are happily chanting the call of ‘all is well’.

“Both are currently busy on wrapping up The Dirty Picture but as soon as the film’s release is through, they would go heads down on kick-starting Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2. There is no need for anyone to panic because things are going entirely as per the plans”, says a source close to the duo, “In fact as we talk, the final version of the film’s script is being locked and a parallel hero (to Akshay) is being finalised. More than anyone else, Akshay is most excited about beginning work on the film. He is convinced that this is the one huge clutter-breaking film in his line-up.”

The speculations around the arrival time period of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 began when the release timing for Akshay’s another action entertainer Rowdy Rathore was announced last week. As the film would arrive in June while Akshay’s other film Housefull 2 has been pre-poned to April next year, many wondered if it would be too much too soon for Akshay to bring yet another film in August 2012.

“Akshay works quite fast on his films,” says a close associate of Akshay. “His films typically take 50-70 days to complete and Milan’s film won’t be any different. In fact what is also helping the makers further is the fact that the crew of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 as well as The Dirty Picture is nearly the same. This means that from a continuity perspective, everyone involved has to move from one film to another.”

This is exactly what’s allowing Milan to breathe easy as well. Though he is now going through reverse counting for the 2nd December release for his Vidya Balan-Emraan Hashmi starrer The Dirty Picture, the Balaji team is working simultaneously on the pre-production of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai so that there is a hassle-free beginning for one of the most keenly awaited sequels next year.

When contacted, Milan dismissed rumours surrounding the film and confirmed that it would indeed make it for 17th August release next year. “I always wanted to make films back to back to back without waste any time. Guess this time around all seems to be going as per plans. We have all dates blocked for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, start shooting next February and wrap it by April in more or less a single schedule. All is well”, he chuckles before signing off.

Priyanka replaces Deepika in ‘Race 2′

Race 2 filmmakers breathe a sigh of relief as they finally get a replacement after the Aarakshan actor opted out

The story that Deepika Padukone walked out of Race 2 to do Yeh Jawani Hain Diwani with Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukherjee is abuzz in the Bollywood circuit.

However, Race 2 producer Ramesh Taurani tweeted it was a false rumour. He insisted that the leggy lady was still a part of the Abbas-Mastan film also starring Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. But his worst fears came true.

Apparently, Deepika couldn’t work out her dates and they desperately began looking for a new leading lady. They went back knocking on Priyanka Chopra’s door who was the first choice to play the role. Initially, when Race 2 sequel was being finalised the producer had spoken to Piggy Chops, but she was busy with Don 2 and turned down the offer.

A year later and the filmmakers have landed in the same situation and are just a month away from the shoot. As per a source close to the filmmaker, this time Priyanka is seriously considering Race 2 and working out her dates to accommodate the film.

We think Dippy preferring to do a film with Ranbir Kapoor over the thriller is a good decision. On the other hand, it will also be great to watch PC join the boys for some thrilling action.

Is Arjun Rampal the 'RA.One'?

This is NOT Arjun Rampal in ‘RA.One’!

Yesterday we showed you the first look of the bad man in Shahrukh Khan’s superhero film, the one that has been fiercely protected as if it’s a national secret.

And we wondered if it was the real thing. Now Arjun Rampal tells us that it is only his look in the game, not in the film. See, we were right!

The look of the title character of Shahrukh Khan’s RA.One, the film that he is so hectically promoting, is still under wraps. We did show you the picture that has been doing the rounds, but speculated whether it was the real thing or from the game.

And we were spot on – it is not what Arjun Rampal looks like in the movie. As he himself has tweeted, “Saw an image of myself in a paper claiming its my look, it’s my look in the game not the real deal. Images of real Ra 1 out in 2 days.”

There have been speculations, some fueled by King Khan himself, saying that he is feeling insecure that Rampal will steal the thunder from him.

Rumours roiled that Rampal had got his head shaved to play the role which will catapult him into the baddie big league in Bollywood. Rampal as RA.One – even in just the game – does make a great impression, making the blue-eyed G.One (played by Shahrukh) pale in comparison.

Dia & Zayed at "LBZ "at Sucess Party Bash

The makers of Love Breakups Zindagi threw a success bash recently, but with the film’s lukewarm response we wonder what was there to rejoice about

On the weekend, Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan and Sahil Sangha, partners of Born Free Entertainment, threw a little party to celebrate the success of their first venture, Love Breakups Zindagi (LBZ). But we wondered why…. According to trade reports, LBZ isn’t exactly setting the cash registers ringing, though critics have been kind and chose nice words in the reviews.

You can read our reviewer’s take to judge for yourself. So, we want to know what exactly they are celebrating. One understands that when a film really does well at the box office and rakes in heaps of moolah, it does call for a party. My guess is that with umpteen product placements in the film, the producers made enough and more cash from the project. Well, then that’s called smart filmmaking.

Did they take a tip from the marketing genius Shahrukh Khan? Anyway, perhaps that’s what they were rejoicing about. So there were Zayed’s aka Z’s parents Zarine and Sanjay Khan, sisters Farah Khan Ali and Sussanne Roshan, and filmy friends including Ramesh Taurani, Rajkumar Hirani, Jackky Bhagnani, Kunal Kapoor, Ganesh Hegde, Gaurav Kapoor, Chunky Pandey and many others who showed up for merrymaking.

By the way, one also hears that despite the lukewarm response to the film, the trio of Dia, Zayed and Sahil has begun work on their next project. Let’s hope that one turns out to be a real success!

Aamir Khan to play Kishore Kumar!

Aamir Khan says: I have been approached by Percept Pictures for the film on Kishore Kumar. They have asked me to play the role of Kishore Kumar.

However, I am yet to complete reading the full script. If the script appears fresh and interesting, I don’t see any reason why I shall not do the film. I have been a great fan of Kishore Kumar. I have loved him both as a singer and an actor.

Vidya Balan hospitalised !!!

Buzz is that shooting for the film took a toll on the actor

We hear Vidya Balan was hospitalised during Dussehra and was unable to fully enjoy the anticipation of the release of her big film, The Dirty Picture.

Apparently, the stress of shooting the movie made her very weak. Her doctor advised her immediate rest and the actor recuperated in a suburban Mumbai hospital for three days.

The buzz is that she had low haemoglobin levels. Though she has returned home now, she is supposed to rest for another week. Last minute details of The Dirty Picture still to be wrapped up, with five or six days’ shoot left.

Fortunately for her, Milan Luthria and Ekta Kapoor are willing to wait for their star to recuperate fully. And Vidya, on her part, has been trying hard to take adequate rest so she can get back to work as quickly as possible.

We just hope that all the stress and tension she’s taken on pays off for her at the box office. Get well soon, Vidya.

Is Rakhi, the real Chammak Challo?

Rakhi Sawant feels that she owns the tag of being the ultimate item girl and she doesn’t really appreciate item songs being picturised on Bollywood heroines.

The motor-mouth is back to her antics and this time she has targeted Bollywood A-listers for allegedly depriving her of work.

“Main asli Chammak Challo hun, Kareena nahi (I am the real Chammak Challo, Kareena isn’t),” a website quoted the drama queen as saying.

Rakhi might have vented out her anger by directly targeting A-list actresses for they are game for doing item numbers themselves. And this has in turn left dancers meant for doing such numbers down and dry.

Talking to a channel, Rakhi said, "As actresses are doing item songs, I am getting fewer offers. I am feeling bad... few item songs are coming my way. I don`t like this." "

“Today an actress plays the main lead, does a negative role, and even an item song to boot. I feel there should be space for everyone in the industry. I started my career with item songs so I can`t become a heroine. But today heroines are becoming item girls,” she added.

For someone who began her Bollywood career with chartbuster Mohabbat Hai Mirchi from the film `Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne` way back in 2003 getting little offers would definitely pinch.

But is she really a “the real Chammak Challo”? Guess even SRK would prefer to keep mum on this!

Amitabh Bachchan turns 69

Amitabh Bachchan, the angry young man of Bollywood, a cine icon, a TV anchor, and above all the heartthrob of millions, turns 69 today.

Yes, there are some biggies in Bollywood, but, the kind of stardom and respect Amitabh Bachchan has earned, it is hard to imagine anyone else reaching that level! The man has given us some legendary movies.

I don’t think anyone of us remembers as many dialogues of any actor in this industry as of Amitabh Bachchan! From “Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, poora naam, baap ka naam Deenanath Chauhan, gaon Mandwa” to “Peter, Tum log mujhe dhoond rahe ho, aur main tumhara yahan intezar kar raha hoon,” the list is endless!

Apart from making a special place in our hearts with his roles, Amitabh Bachchan has also bowled us over with his anchoring skills. With Kaun Banega Crorepati, Big B has emerged an exceptionally good host and a family figure! The warmth and aura Amitabh has is indubitably matchless.

His eminence can be estimated from the fact that Amitabh is at such a stature that whether his movies are a hit or a flop at the box office, his stardom is left untouched!

Amitabh Bachchan, your modesty often makes you downplay your incredible stardom. Generations have grown up watching your movies and imitating your style. Big B, you are the B in Bollywood.

We at Tumbring wish you a very happy birthday, Amitabh Bachchan! And for those (.00001% of world population) who feel Amitabh is an old man now, we have a special message: “Bbuddah hoga tera baap”.

Katrina-Ranbir together again for Ajab Prem sequel?

Sequels being the order of the day, it's no surprise that Raj Kumar Santoshi will make a sequel to the immensely-successful 2009 comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The sequel was supposed to go on the floors immediately after the success of the first film but it was put on hold when leading man Ranbir Kapoor [seemed disinclined to go down the same route.

At that point of time, Ranbir wasn't kicked by the idea of doing sequels. But now that he is doing a sequel to Ayaan Mukerjee's Wake Up Sid , a sequel to Ajab Prem worked out fine too.

According to a source, "Santoshi has been under pressure from his producers Tips to do a sequel. But he has so far shunned sequels, even one to the historic comedy Andaz Apna Apna. Now with all his recent projects going no further than announcement (the Abhishek-Aishwarya rom-com Ladies & Gentlemen) or the first schedule (Power), Santoshi had second thoughts."

Apparently, leading lady Katrina Kaif was mighty kicked by carrying the Ajab Prem story forward.

Says a source, "It is Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani 2 that Katrina has signed up with Santoshi for, and not the Jackky Bhagnani film, as reported, which was never offered to Katrina."

When contacted Santoshi evaded from making a comment on the Ajab Prem sequel but fumed at the mention of the reported Rs 20 crores that was offered to Katrina to do a film opposite Bhagnani.

"I don't know where such baseless stories come from. I've never offered Katrina that film. She's a friend, and I know exactly what to make with her next," says the irate director.

Continues the director, "Who pays that kind of ridiculous money to a leading lady? Nothing is decided yet about the film with Jackky Bhagnani and there's no question of Katrina being paired with him."

When contacted, Katrina says, "I was never offered that other project. I'd love to do another film with Santoshiji. I had a ball shooting for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. I had suggested a sequel even when it was released."

Nihita Biswas gets evicted in 'Bigg Boss 5'

Charles Sobhraj’s wife had a rather short stay in the house!

Nihita Biswas' ‘Bigg Boss’ journey was rather short. The 23-year-old wife of ‘Bikini Killer’ Charles Sobhraj, became the first contestant to be evicted in the fifth season of the controversial reality show. Just six days into the show, Nihita was evicted, based on the audience's votes. She was pitted against VJ Pooja Missra, who has been quite a troublemaker on the show so far. "I enjoyed a lot, and adjusted over the years. I am upset that I was evicted," Nihita told host, actor Sanjay Dutt after coming out of the house. Dutt simply gave her his famous ‘jadoo ki jhappi’!

Before leaving the show, Nihita, who was wearing a blue dress, hugged all contestants. When she was asked to choose a contestant to put into the ‘Bigg Boss’ jail, she picked actress Pooja Bedi. Nihita, the ‘baby’ of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, came into limelight when she married 67-year Sobhraj in 2008. Sobhraj is serving a 20-year life term in Kathmandu's Central Jail for the murder of an American backpacker in 1975.

The young girl faced a barrage of questions when she came into the show last Sunday. News anchor Mandeep Belvi, one of the participants, even went on to ask her intimate questions about her private life with Sobhraj leaving Nihita's mother, Shakuntala Thapa, a senior lawyer practising at Nepal's Supreme Court, bewildered.

While Nihita maintained a balanced temperament on the show, she also made interesting revelations that she fell in love with Sobhraj at first sight when she visited him in Kathmandu's Central Prison after she heard he was looking for a Nepali interpreter for his visiting French lawyer.

She broke down into tears upon being asked why she married the much-elder Sobhraj, but she said: "I could die in his arms".
Let’s see who comes out of the house next week!

Jagjit Singh passed away...

MUMBAI: Musician and composer Jagjit Singh, who won generations of fans by reviving the traditional genre of "ghazal" tunes, died on Monday in Mumbai at the age of 70, hospital officials said.

Singh, dubbed " The Ghazal King", had been in intensive care for three weeks after undergoing surgery when he fell seriously ill with a brain haemorrhage.

Ghazals are a poetic form of singing that originated in the Middle East and spread to India from the 12th century.

They were traditionally reserved for the elite, but Singh popularised the form in the 1970s and 1980s by pioneering a modern ghazal sound and using Western instruments alongside Indian classical ones.

"Unfortunately, he expired this morning," said Mohan Rajan, spokesman for the private Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

As well as spreading the appeal of ghazal in India, Singh sang and composed for Bollywood, the Hindi-language film industry.

Singh will be best remembered for his music in the films "Prem Geet" (Love Song) in 1981 and "Arth" (Meaning) the following year.

He last sang in the low-budget film "Khushiyaan" (Happiness), which is due in cinemas on Friday.

Jagjit Singh was born to a poor family in the north Indian state of Rajasthan on February 8, 1941.

He took to singing at an early age and like millions of other migrants, travelled to Mumbai, then known as Bombay, to make his fortune.

After initial struggles singing advertising jingles and performing at parties, he found a foothold in regional-language and Bollywood cinema, going on to form a successful duo with his wife Chitra in the 1970s and 80s.

When Singh was taken to hospital on September 23, he had been about to sing at a concert in Mumbai with Pakistani ghazal legend Ghulam Ali.

Movie Review : Love Breakups Zindagi

Cast: Zayed Khan, Dia Mirza, Cyrus Sahukar, Tisca Chopra, Satyadeep Mishra, Pallavi Sharda

Directed by Sahil Sangha

Rating: **

There are some movies that don't surprise, particularly delight or even entertain but still leave you with little to complain. 'Love Breakup Zindagi' (LBZ) may seem like an excuse for a title by a lazy writer but it is just that kind of a movie. Unobjectionable yet not very appetizing. A bit like the relationship explored in the film. No adultery but no fizz either.

The film's lead pair is comfortably bored in their respective relationships. Delhi boy, Jai (Zayed Khan) plays tormented boyfriend to a girl who is a female dictator, and an extremely picky and fussy one at that. Yet his only complaint, "She's attractive, successful etc. But meri ghanti nahin baji!" This is Delhi-speak for, "I'm committed but I am still looking." Mumbai girl, Naina (Dia) on the other hand, has the most predictable boyfriend: career driven, successful and preoccupied enough to have no time for her.

So now you're thinking that Jai has to meet Naina and they have to realise how great they are for each other and this movie can end. Luckily, Jai's friend Arjun (Satyadeep Mishra) plans to get hitched with Naina's best friend, Gayatri (Auritra Ghosh) and opportunity presents itself.

Jai attends the week-long wedding with cocky sidekick Govind (Cyrus Sahukar) who supplies us with awkward humour and a breather from this predictable story. Govind's love angle with a family friend present at the wedding, Sheila (Tisca Chopra) turns out to be oddly cute and more endearing than the lead couple. Much naach-gaana, alcohol consumption and festivities later, Jai and Naina are shot back to reality as they go back to their partners. And as impossible as it seems for them to meet again, the inevitable is the inevitable. So if some pages of the script could've been fed to the dog, we could've left the screen without a power nap.

If clichés could be converted into money, LBZ would compete with the World Bank. Naina's mother's original advice at a moment of dichotomy is, "Wahi karo jo tumhara dil kehta hai!" Which basically means, ignore the other organs. Then we have Jai and Govind concluding a bitching session with, "Women! Can't live with them. Can't live without them!" I am sure we can live without this line. And if lines weren't enough, we have clichéd cures: ice cream for breakups.

Zayed and Dia cumulatively don't score a single point for their performances. Cyrus' unwarranted confidence comes from playing peculiar characters in the past and Tisca Chopra takes home the title of the 'most charming aunty'. Boman Irani's cameo is refreshing but Shah Rukh Khan's is tacky as he offers pearls of wisdom like, "Jo dil mein hain woh keh do." The music won't stay with you for longer than you exit the screen and the other technical staff doesn't produce anything worth highlighting.

It could be that you were lulled into a sleepy feeling or that every time a scene was about spill over, an unusual drift would save it. So LBZ is just the kind of movie that you can watch but not recommend.

Movie Review : Mausam

Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Aditi Sharma, Supriya Pathak
Directed by Pankaj Kapoor
Rating: *1/2

Mausam can have many taglines. Mausam- 'a season to snooze'. Mausam- 'come fall asleep (with or without recliner seats)'. But the original one sticks best, 'Mausam: a timeless love story…' The ellipses only reinforce that this film might just never end. A tip: carry a day pack comprising essentials when you go to watch it.

A disclaimer at the beginning says that the film doesn't depict true Indian Air Force procedures and tactics. So, dare you roll your eyes when a fighter pilot in the film prepares for an aerial raid by locking and loading his pistol into his holster (in case the missiles get jammed?).

The film opens to a charming village in Punjab called Mallukot, home to our hero, Harry/Harinder Singh (Shahid Kapoor) who is somewhere between Top Cat and village idiot. In true Punjabi spirit, every dialogue begins with 'Dekh oye!' and everyone loves saying 'Haan bhayee'. After many silly digs at the negligible collective IQ of Mallukot, our Kashmiri heroine, Aaayat (Sonam Kapoor) surfaces, seeking refuge at her Bua's (Supriya Pathak). Harry meets Aayat, romantic music plays and the two are in love.

But no Bollywood love story worth its extras is complete without separation. So, Aayat shifts base overnight to Mumbai (just in time for the 1993 riots). Then she moves to Scotland with dad, Bua and a family friend called Maharaj Krishna (Anupam Kher), fondly called Machchu.

The story takes a time leap of 7 years (which actually feels like 14 years in runtime) and the two lovers meet again. Harry, now an Indian Air Force pilot, is on an exchange program in Scotland (for real?). Twirling from ballet to ballroom, the two are inseparable until Harry is called away for the Kargil war.

The rest of the film has about 20 respective separations and unions. The grand finale is in Ahmedabad. Yes, you guessed it, during the Godhra riots. This time, Harry takes home the cake, the bakery and the baker. He saves Aayat from a mob and a howling baby from falling off a giant wheel with his paralysed hand (his fighter plane crashed during the war). Harry also rescues an impressive white stallion trapped behind flames. "Kuch tumne khoya, kuch maine khoya, kuch iss masoom ne khoya," says Harry and they start afresh by walking towards a giant wheel with the stallion in tow.

Racial profiling is no joke but can a family be affected by terrorists attacks in Kashmir, '93 Mumbai riots, September 11 attacks in the US and the Godhra riots, all in one film?

Shahid and Sonam are both committed to their roles but their dialogues and lack of chemistry can easily make you hate this love story. The music is hummable and the cinematography is divine. But in all, they don't add up to tell a story that can keep your eyes peeled to the screen.

This film offers a one-stop disaster tour, listing most major global and local setbacks. In hindsight, if these tragedies didn't occur, our duo would never be separated. But then again, they wouldn't have met either.

Rascals : Movie Review

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Kangna Ranaut, Arjun Rampal, Chunky Pandey, Satish Kaushik
Directed by David Dhawan
Rating: *

Brand David Dhawan has always urged moviegoers to leave their brains at home. It's easy to pick a hole at this suggestion, who packs to go watch a movie, anyway? But assuming this was possible, can the remaining organs collectively make his movies an enjoyable experience? This is clearly an open debate for another forum. For now, 'Rascals' is yet another from the Dhawan stable that sticks to the staple ingredients that make his films what they're known for: silly gags, women in minimal clothing and rhyming one-liners which are usually insults. Having said that, don't expect anything more or less than just that from this one.

The film features conmen Chetan Chauhan (Sanjay Dutt) and Bhagat Bhosle (Ajay Devgn) who both spend some time conning others and then each other before landing up in Bangkok. Here, between trying to one-up each other, idiotically duping locals and some in-film branding for Pan Pacific Hotel, they bump into Khushi (Kangna Ranaut), a millionaire without a cause. Khushi's flippant attitude towards her immeasurable wealth (she keeps aimlessly signing cheques worth crores of rupees) and her perfectly toned body instantly draw our despicable duo towards her.

Naturally, our already competing rascals try every prank in the book to malign, seriously injure or ridicule each other, to win Khushi's attention and interest. The odd part of this sleaze contest is that neither of them seems to know whether they're gunning for Khushi's wealth or her vital stats. In all this, Khushi grins dementedly when flirted with/ spoken to/just like that, much like a battery-operated doll running on dodgy batteries.

A possible duplication of Govinda-Anil Kapoor's 'Deewana Mastana' is only obvious. Apart from the entire format, even elements like setting up a hooker to tarnish the other and a long exchange of dialogues involving cult B'wood actors who sacrificed their love for a friend or a brother, seem stale and tiring. Stupid humour is the nationally accepted form of humour in Bollywood. But 'Rascals' manages the incredible feat of falling below the already low standards set by this genre.
Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn haven't aged well. But that is not the issue. The issue is that they have aged and they need to realise that if they don't stop playing twenty-something's now, it could just be a bit too late to play the forty-somthings. Kangna's speech therapist has done a great job but when she's excited in a scene, there's no stopping the spit from hitting the ceiling.

'Deewana Mastana' had tickled many arm pits to be memorable. This washed-up version only repeats the better gags and in doing so, ruins the fond association with the original.

Shahid Kapoor can’t snub SRK !!!

Shahid Kapoor follows Shahrukh, snubs Priyanka!

There have been reports that Shahid Kapoor has snubbed both Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra by ‘unfollowing’ them on his Twitter page. However, the star has rectified half the gaffe.

As soon as the news spread around, Shahid checked his ‘following’ list and found Shahrukh’s name missing. He claims to not know how SRK’s name was struck off, so he added Shahrukh’s twitter handle again.

“What's up people .... Read the weirdest story that I had stopped following srk ... Only to realize that I actually had ...... No clue how.... Well he's back on my follow list .... Was just some random thing people going loony over it !!! Haha,” Shahid tweeted.

Interestingly, while Shahid has added Shahrukh to the list, he still refuses to follow Priyanka’s tweets.

That sounds strange, given the fact that the two have been linked in the past and are even doing a film presently. In fact, Shahid is presently following the likes of Amrita Rao, Ayesha Takia, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and even Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti Chopra. But not Priyanka. We wonder why?

Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri romance in ‘Tum Ho’ song

They were fun to watch in the song Katiya Karoon and now you can see their passionate side in Tum Ho song from Rockstar. Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, the new ‘it’ couple of silver screen, will woo the audience with their fresh, tender and passionate romance.

The composition Tum Ho in the voice of Mohit Chauhan is the most-talked about track in the movie as it features romance between Ranbir and Nargis in its passionate form. The song is beautifully shot in Delhi and abroad. And it’s quite unlike the song Katiya Karoon where lovers are seen having fun moments. The somber melodious track Tum Ho is undoubtedly in the league of AR Rahman’s romantic hits like Kehna Hi Kya from ‘Bombay’, and Yeh Haseen Vadiyan from ‘Roza’.

After watching the video many would be in awe of the model Nargis Fakhri. Now, we understand why Ranbir Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali can’t stop singing praises of the actress. Ranbir even said that Nargis is the big asset in the film, while Imtiaz feels she has a charismatic on-screen persona.

Here is the video of the song Tum Ho from ‘Rockstar’. Watch it and tell us what you feel about Ranbir and Nargis’ on-screen romance. We love it!
