Ms Padukone, Big B and Irrfan starrer has literally created hungama at the box office…
Shoojit Sircar’s latest offering starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan has already collected over Rs 100 crore worldwide. The family drama has been in the theatres almost for three week now but it is still going strong at the ticket windows. Piku released on May 8 and though it didn’t witness a great opening, the figures went up courtesy good word-of-mouth. In fact, Sircar’s directorial venture is the biggest opener overseas this year. FANTASTIC!” This is fantastic news for the makers of the film. Deepika, Sr Bachchan and Irrfan’s film has minted great moolah at the domestic market as well.
The figures that are coming up are a really big an impressive figure considering this family drama isn’t a big budget film. Everyone is going gaga about this film. It is only the third film this year after Akshay Kumar’s Baby and Gabbar Is Back to have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
