Ranbir Kapoor might have disappointed everyone once again with his latest offering Bombay Velvet after a stale Roy and disparaging Besharam. But there is no reason for distress as far as he is concerned. He has two films coming up which could turn the tides for him. Interestingly and funnily so, both the films have a part of his personal life involved. While Jagga Jasoos pairs him with his would-be bride Katrina Kaif, Tamasha has him paired with Deepika Padukone, his ex! Now Jagga Jasoos is a detective film with a comical twist. Ranbir plays a detective with Katrina as his partner. Ranbir’s look from the film was released many moons ago which sees him with specs on carrying a backpack. He seemed much healthier than he looks now. The poster that was released was also quirky giving an idea of what to expect. Ranbir and Katrina’s chemistry has worked at the box office with Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti. So Jagga Jasoos might benefit from all that.
As for Tamasha, Deepika and Ranbir’s pairing has always spun magic. Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani were films that made the audience happy. A few of the on the set pictures of Tamasha has gone on to prove that both are looking smashing in the film. Ranbir plays a drifter while Deepika is in love with the comic characters of Asterix and Obelix. The latter bring them together and sparks fly. Well, that always does when these two get together. It sounds even more interesting than Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
