'Bigg Boss 7': Kushal Tandon and Gauhar Khan evicted from the house

In a surprise twist, Kushal Tandon and Gauhar Khan have been asked to pack their bags by Bigg Boss after the scuffle with VJ Andy. Kushal and Gauhar are the love birds in the Bigg Boss house.

Recently, Kushal had a nasty fight with Tanishaa, who pushed him not once but thrice. While a part of it was aired on the show, the part where a furious Kushal called Tanishaa a flop actress was not shown.

A source says, Kushal told Tanishaa that she is a dhabba on her family. “Look where your sister (Kajol) is and where you are today,” he is said to have taunted her.

He was so angry that he jumped the wall and escaped out of the house. It’s a different thing that he was brought back by the security personnel and directly nominated for elimination.

Also a few days ago, Bollywood star Salman Khan was so upset with Kushal's bad behaviour with actress Tanisha Mukherjee on the show that he said it would be his last season as a host of the reality show. The 47-year-old actor on Saturday gave an earful to Kushal for insulting Tanishaa.

"If you think you can clean your image, it's a misconception," Salman told Kushal, and added that he too had faced it and realised that one's mistakes are etched in people's memories.

"Because of this episode, this might be the last season for me," a livid Salman said on Saturday. On Sunday, Salman talked about the issue again on Twitter responding to queries from his followers. He wrote that according to Bigg Boss fans, both should have been out, "but there was a lot more than wat you saw".

Choice's yours if you want to watch Bigg Boss or not: Salman khan

Reality show Bigg Boss 7 on Colors channel has garnered TRPs aplenty! But, the ongoing fights on the show have surely angered the superstar host Salman Khan. In the saturday episode, he waxed eloquent on the way inmates had ganged up against Tanisha Mukerji.

On Sunday, he took to twitter when his stand and the entire show was questioned by some of his folllowers. He tweeted: "@BeingSalmanKhan: The choice is yours if u wanna watch Bigg Boss or not. Sm times people do get carried away in fights, every 1 does n then they sort it out."

He explained his stance on the show, which is very close to his heart, saying: "l am only answering your question abt BB b cs u r following me .This is a game. It's on tv so I like to keep a check on it ."

In the past, many true and false stories have been attributed to Salman, but it is clear that the man is not ready to accept any slight towards women's dignity, especially on his show. He made this point very lucidly when he tweeted: "U see 1 hour i see the whole deal. Guess sm of u guys may not react wen sm 1 speaks to your family ka female members or women in that manner. Most of men n women stand up against men who run em dwn if this is culture or not culture, it better b come."

Check out Trailer: Farhan Akhtar, Vidya Balan face 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'

Watch Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan battle Shaadi Ke Side Effects in this funny trailer of the upcoming Balaji production.

We saw Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose suffer Pyaar Ke Side Effects in the 2006 hit movie. Now, watch Vidya and Farhan go through their marital grind in this upcoming comedy film by director Saket Chaudhary.

There’s no end to the constant quibbling between the husband and wife duo with their newborn daughter at the centre of it all. The hubby snores at night. The wife admonishes him to snooze silently, lest the little one wakes up. And when the hubby falls off the bed with a loud thud, her reprimand is “Dheere se nahin gir sakte thhe?”

Playing the squabbling hubby-wife duo, Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan can’t seem to see eye-to-eye on anything. Whether their daughter’s feeling cold, or warm, or is just plain hungry.

Then enters Ram Kapoor who doles out his nugget of wisdom to Farhan: “Happy married life ke liye chhote chhote jhooth bolne padte hain.”

Thereafter starts a string of lies between the husband and wife.

Shaadi Ke Side Effects hits theatres in February 2014.

Is Salman Khan partial towards Tanishaa Mukerji on 'Bigg Boss 7'

Salman Khan is getting the flak from fans who allege that he’s been very partial towards Tanisha Mukerji on the show ‘Bigg Boss 7’.

Usually a great attraction for the show, superstar Salman Khan has been getting both pats on the back and brickbats on the microblogging site Twitter for being partial towards "Bigg Boss-Saath 7" contestant and actress Tanisha Mukerji.

Salman gave an earful to contestant Kushal Tandon, a TV actor, on his bad behaviour towards the actress and many appreciated his stand. But others felt that the popular host is biased when it comes to Tanisha and allege that he defends her due to the fact that she is actress Kajol's sister

"A clear cheat by Salman Khan today (Saturday) to support Tanisha ... why because she is from Mukherjee family or she is a relative of Ajay Devgn," said a Twitter user Shweta.

While others think that Armaan Kohli and Tanisha's Bollywood background is what is making the Salman Khan choose them over the others.

"Salman Khan is so partial towards Tanisha Mukherjee and Armaan Kohli. Bollywood is backing them and so is Salman Khan," Pratibha tweeted.

Salman was visibly upset when he featured on the show Saturday because of the fight between Tanisha Mukerji and Kushal and even said this would be his last season as host.

Many twitterati supported his stand.

First look: Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan in Kabir Khan's next

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is in action mode, after doing some heavy duty action sequences in Kabir Khan's hit 'Ek Tha Tiger', the actress will be once again seen doing the same in the director's next venture 'Phantom'. The movie will have Saif Ali Khan playing Katrina's love interest.

Kabir Khan recently posted photos from the sets of his film, tentatively tilted 'Phantom' and is being filmed in Beirut. The film is apparently about the post 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism, wherein Saif Ali Khan plays a secret organisation's agent and Katrina Kaif his lady love.

Kabir Khan posted photos featuring both Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif shooting for an action sequence on social networking site Twitter.

Both Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif looked bruised as they get ready for their gunfight sequence. Dressed in guerilla fatigues and accompanied with fighters, both actors look totally engrossed in the action.

Katrina Kaif will be seen doing a lot of action in her forthcoming movies like 'Dhoom: 3', 'Bang Bang' and now 'Phantom'.

Kabir Khan who has shot earlier in Afghanistan has again selected a rugged volatile location.

Recently, there was an accident on the film's sets, when two local artists were hurt after being hit by a car. The incident happened while the crew was shooting a sequence that featured a car going through some fire, unfortunately due to the heavy smoke the driver of the car lost control and didn't see the other two artists.

While the driver was unhurt, the other two were taken to the hospital with injuries on their legs.

Bigg Boss 7: Is Salman Khan biased towards Tanishaa Mukherji and Armaan Kohli?

The otherwise wicked and nasty Salman Khan seems to be taking a step back when it comes to Kajol’s baby sister and Armaan. Is this because apna outspoken bhai does not want to spoil his connections with the filmi family Tanishaa belongs to?

We all know how outspoken and wicked Salman Khan can be, right? We know the bhai of tinseltown doesn’t think twice before voicing his opinion and cracking the whip on the Bigg Boss 7 contestants – we’ve seen him in action, after all. But it looks like the otherwise nasty Salman hides in a closet when it comes to a certain Tanishaa Mukherji. Why? What makes him treat her with the proverbial kid gloves?

It is quite evident that while other housemates – who don’t belong to a major film family like Tanishaa does – become the subject of his snide remarks and a few have even become the butt of his quirky jokes, when it comes to Tanishaa and Armaan, the bindaas host mellows and suddenly gets more civilised and polite. And our argument is solidly supported by so many instances.

For instance, when Tanishaa and Armaan got up close and personal with each other in the glass-walled house, Sallu bhai – in a very civilised manner – warned the lovebirds about the presence of 84 cameras inside the house. Now if it had not been Tanishaa-Armaan and someone else instead, would Salman have treated them so gently? We certainly don’t think so!

When Tanishaa got into a war of words with Pratyusha Banerjee recently about Armaan, Sallu took Kajol’s little sister’s side and told her that it was not worth getting into a fight with the Hindi TV soap star. Does that mean the other contestants inside the glass walled house are not worth talking to? Well, that’s what the bhai seems to think.

So that leads us to wanting answers – why is Salman not being his regular wicked self when it comes to Tanishaa? Or even to Armaan? Why are his harsh words reserved for all the other contestants but these two? Is Salman playing favourites? More interesting, is Salman playing it safe?

Why do we say that? This is our reason – a bitchy birdy from Lonavala chirped to us that Ajay Devgn, who is the brother-in-law of Tanishaa and a very good friend of Salman had a word with him on the phone and asked him to take special care of his biwi’s baby sister. Now Sallu can’t possibly say ‘no’ to his buddy, hai na?

Is Ajay Devgn trying to get Tanishaa Mukherji out of the Bigg Boss 7 house?

Tanishaa might be the latest eviction from the glass walled ghar

Tanishaa Mukherji and Armaan Kohli’s growing closeness in the Bigg Boss house has not only created problems for other housemates but also for Tanisha’s family. We have heard that Tanishaa’s mother Tanuja, sister Kajol and brother-in-law Ajay Devgn are apparently not happy about Tanishaa’s romantic feelings towards Armaan.

Reportedly, Ajay recently had a word with his good friend and host of Bigg Boss 7, Salman Khan about this whole Tanishaa-Armaan tamashaa. Following this, Salman warned Tanishaa and Armaan that there are 84 cameras on them all the time in the house.

We thought that after this indirect warning from Salman, Tanishaa will take a cue and maintain a safe distance from Armaan but looks like she doesn’t care at all and is carrying on with him as usual.

Tanishaa’s careless attitude forced Ajay to give yet another call to Salman. Ajay has apparently asked Salman to get Tanishaa out of the house as she is tarnishing the image of her family. If the recent rumours are anything to go by, Tanishaa who is already in danger zone this week might be the latest eviction from the Bigg Boss house.

Now whether these rumours are true or not, we will come to know only after Saturday’s episode of Bigg Boss 7 after one housemate will bid adieu to the show.

Theft of 17 gold bangles from Devgn's Juhu mansion

Film stars Kajol and Ajay Devgn have filed a complaint of theft of gold bangles from their Juhu bungalow and have told cops they suspect the involvement of an insider.

The theft was discovered on October 22 when Kajol was getting ready for Karvachauth. The police complaint filed at the Juhu police station on Wednesday reported 17 bangles worth nearly Rs 5 lakh missing. While both Ajay and Kajol remained unavailable for comment on Thursday, Kajol's mother, yesteryear actress Tanuja, confirmed the theft. "Yes, it is true that Kajol's bangles were stolen. But I do not know the details as I was out of town and have just come back," she said.

This is the second theft reported at the mansion, called the Devgn House. A closer inspection revealed that 17 bangles were missing. Some of these bangles were gifts from Ajay and held great sentimental value for her. "It really ruined her Karvachauth," said a source close to the family.

Since Kajol had last used some articles from the jewellery box on October 15,cops are questioning domestic staff who had access to her room in the following week. Juhu police station in-charge Senior Inspector Arun Bhagat said a few people have been questioned in connection with the theft. "Investigations are on and we are pursuing some leads," he said.

Movie Review: 'Mickey Virus'

Star Cast: Manish Paul, Elli Avram, Manish Chaudhary, Varun Badola, Puja Gupta, Raghav Kakkar, Nitesh Pandey, Vikesh Kumar

Director: Saurabh Varma

Rating: **

Mickey is a hacker. But he is also a slacker. It's not like he wants to either fall in love or do anything else that's constructive, but certain events force him into both situations. On the one hand, there is a lovely lass, and on the other, a gang of cyber thieves. Which way will the fellow with the fastest-acting-virus-on-a-pen-drive swing?

'Mickey Virus' teams a debutant director and a first time lead actor, and a fine supporting cast, and comes up with a film that holds attention for some time, before it gets stretched into a too-long second act. First off, so many films recently have come up with their version of Delhi boys just mooching about, that I've been zoning out.

What I liked about this bunch is that they are not trying too hard, and except for a couple of exaggerations, seem just right for their milieu. They are all appropriately named : apart from Manish Paul's cocky layabout Mickey the Virus, there is Gupta as Chutney, the lone girl in the group but holding her own, Kakkar as Floppy, and Kumar as Pancho. And Nitesh Pandey, as the Professor, who knows everything.

The cyber 'chors' are also killers. A couple of cops, played by Manish Chaudhary and Varun Badola, shanghai Mickey into cracking the case. A murder follows, and suddenly it's not just fun-and-games. What's also nice is that this is a Delhi that stays away from the tourist slide-shows most 'Dilli films' become: the grungy parts of Nehru Place infested by the computer trade walas and the fake part walas and the cheap knocked together laptops walas are all on display, and our always-connected-hackers roam around this territory with their USB sticks and fastest fingers, speaking the lingo.

It's all fun up to a point, and despite a couple of amateurish edges, the director shows potential. So does Paul. It was also good to see the talented Nitesh Pandey, though I wish he had more to do here. It is Badola, the other criminally underutilised actor, who has a meaty part and makes the most of it, who he is the highlight of this film. Except for the morally correct lines he is made to spout in the end, he plays it just right.

Boss makers mute 'vulgar' word in Honey Singh song

After a host of Bollywood stars, it now seems to be the turn of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, whose film ‘Boss’ now has a Public Interest litigation (PIL) against it.

The bone of contention seems to be over a song in ‘Boss’, sung by controversial rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, over alleged “vulgar” lyrics.

‘Boss’, which hits theatres on 16 October, 2013 has been sued by lawyer Sanjay Bhatnagar, through counsel R.D. Rana, who expressed his dissatisfaction over a certain vulgar word in said song. Bhatnagar has sought that the release of the film be suspended until the words from the song, or the song itself, is completely removed from the film.

A division bench of Chief Justice N.V. Ramana and Justice Manmohan has requested the film’s makers to inform the court whether or not the objectionable words were deleted from the song. The next hearing in the matter is on 11 October, 2013, a mere five days before the film’s release.

The central government’s standing counsel Jatan Singh had informed the court that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has yet to issue the release certificate to the film.

Notice for 'Bigg Boss 7'

Bigg Boss has always courted controversies. From abusive  language to extreme public display of affection, the show has had some sensational content, since it began. This season is no different. We’ve already seen an offensive war of words between Andy and Armaan Kohli while  lovebirds Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan can’t seem to get enough of each other, literally.

Taking note of that probably, Information & Broadcasting Ministry has sent a notice to the channel.

Colors has confirmed that they have received a notice from the Ministry. A spokesperson from the channel says,  “Today, we have received a show cause notice on Bigg Boss from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), and we shall submit our response to the same within the time limit prescribed by the ministry. As a responsible broadcaster, we are mindful of our audiences’ sentiments and respect the guidelines set by the I&B Ministry and BCCC.

Colors has a strict Standard & Practices (S&P) team, that does self-regulations, which works closely with the programming team on all aspects to ensure a safe family viewing experience. Last year, the format of Bigg Boss was changed to make it more parivarik (suitable for family viewing). The casting of the show has been done accordingly this year as well...” However, following the notice, it remains to be seen if the channel will be forced to change the timing of the show from 9 pm to late night.

Hrithik Roshan's personal life secret...

Everyone feels that Hrithik is a very strong person well he is but when he was a kid Hrithik was shy and a loner. His tears would flow easily when someone teased him in school, but Hrithik is a strong father which never allowed any weakness to be supported. He believes that people go through lot of struggle in their lives and still manage to come out joyful.

On Priyanka Chopra's comment that Hrithik lives in his head.

Hrithik feels that its natural to live in fear of the unexpected but one should welcome it as opportunities to rise above. He believes that Krrish has a great impact on him its beyond d mask, the caves and the way he needs to jump from one building to the other it’s all about the values and goals he lives by.

In spite of having problems of speech impediment, knee problem, a broken shoulder and now a hole in the brain. Hrithik choose to be positive and because of his consistent practice of imbibing the right values of a strong man did not allow a single second of fear to enter him.

Hrithik choose to stay awake during his surgery which makes him feel that if he feels asleep he would have two holes in his head instead of one.
Hrithik believes that if your attitude towards a problem is right you get all the strength to surpass everything.

Hrithik believes that his failures have made him stronger. As his experiences have been his biggest motivators whenever he feels to much pressure he just looks back and realizes he had gone through this same earlier but had come out stronger.

My three favourite songs of Mr. Bachchan are "Kabhi kabhie mere dil mein khayaal aata hai" ("Kabhi Kabhie"), "Rang barse" ("Silsila") and "Tum bhi chalo hum bhi chalen" ("Zameer").

Ayushmann Khurrana: He's playing the best innings that an actor could ever play. He's like the Sachin Tendulkar of Indian cinema. He's not only ahead of his contemporaries, he's also ahead of all current superstars. A perfect representative of Indian cinema. He's evolved with the changing times. That's what makes him a true legend. My three favourite songs of him? "Chhoo kar mere mann ko" ("Yaarana"), "Khaike paan banaras wala" ("Don") and "Teri bindiya re" ("Abhimaan").

Preity Zinta: The Big B just gets better and better with time. His innings is just never-ending. I am close to the entire family. Aishwarya, Abhishek, Jaya aunty...I can't say I'm that close to Amit uncle. He is just so...up there, so distant and so mysterious. I am intimidated and awed by him. I've worked with him in three films. I had some meaty scenes with him in "Veer-Zaara" and Rituparno Ghosh's "The Last Lear". Believe me it was a learning experience. My favourite songs? "Kabhi kabhie mere dil mein" ("Kabhi Kabhie"), "Rang barse" ("Silsila") and "Choo kar mere man ko" ("Yaarana"). The songs are a good indication of his awesome versatility.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui: Hazaaron saal jiye aap, swasth rahen (May you live for thousands of years and remain healthy). My favourite songs of Bachchan sahab are "Neela aasman so gaya" ("Silsila"), "Do lafzaon ki hai dil ki kahaani" ("The Great Gambler") and "Rimjhim gire saawan" ("Manzil").

Jackie Shroff: He is one cool dude. My favourite songs of Mr. Bachchan are "Yeh kahaan aa gaye hum" ("Silsila"), "My name is Anthony Gonzalves" ("Amar Akbar Anthony") and "Aaj rapat jaayen" ("Namak Halaal").

Dhanush: Before I tell you my three favourite songs of Bachchan sahab, let me tell you an incident about him. I was in Africa shooting for a film. A local asked me where I was from. When I said 'India', he said he knows three things about India - 'the Taj Mahal, spicy food and Amitabh Bachchan'. That is the kind of legend he is. Many happy returns to one of cinema's greatest icons. My three favourite songs of Bachchan sahab are "Tere mere milan ki yeh raina" ("Abhimaan"), "Kabhi kabhie mere dil mein" ("Kabhi Kabhie") and "Mere angane mein" ("Lawaaris").

Raza Murad: Amitji is turning 71 this year. But his energy level is that of a 17-year-old. That indefatigable energy has kept the Shahenshah going. He is an ageless wonder. My favourite songs of Amitji are "Khaike paan benaras waala" (Don), "Dekha ek khwaab" ("Silsila") and "Inteha ho gayi"("Sharaabi").

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Boss enters Guinness Book World Records

Akshay Kumar starrer Boss has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest poster after beating Michael Jackson's This Is It.

The 46-year-old superstar's fan club made the largest poster in the world in just four months after putting logistics into place.

"It's a matter of honour. I thank everyone who made this possible," Akshay said in a statement.

The poster is 58.87 metres wide and 54.94 metres high and was unveiled at Little Gransden Airfield, UK, on October 3, 2013. Macro Arts (UK) did the manufacturing of the poster, which had also made Jackson's poster.

The official certification for the same was done in the UK itself and the 'Boss' poster also finds a mention on the official Guinness website.

The comedy caper, directed by Anthony D'Souza, also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Aditi Rao Hydari and Parikshit Sahni in pivotal roles.

"Boss" is slated to hit theatres on October 16.

"Saira and I will spend the day in quiet acknowledgement of what we mean to each other, now more than ever, Inshallah," the ailing 90-year-old posted on his Twitter page.

Acknowledging his fans and friends' wishes over the years, his post read: "Each year of our marriage has been made beautiful by everybody who wish us through letters, phone calls and Internet.

"Praying in gratitude for all that Allah has blessed us with his bounty and benevolence. A million thank you for your prayers."

Dilip Kumar, an icon of Hindi cinema with a career spanning six decades, has played both hero and character roles.

Emraan Hashmi, Kareena drop out of Ekta Kapoor film

Kareena Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi have reportedly dropped out of Ekta Kapoor's troubled production Badtameez Dill.

The film, co-produced by Karan Johar, would have seen the two stars appear on screen together for the first time.

A source told Mumbai Mirror that here is "no fixed shooting schedule" for the picture, which is said to be stuck in the scripting stage.

However, production company Balaji Motion Pictures commented that rumours the project has been delayed are false.

Chief executive Tanuj Garg responded: "These rumours are totally unfounded. The script is awaiting completion, which is why we are marginally postponed. We will still release next year."

The romantic drama was to feature an "explosive" love-making scene between the pair.

In February, Hashmi said that odd couples are more "sexy" and create better chemistry on screen than more conventional pairings.

Bollywood Returns To Egypt After 25 Years With Chennai Express In Arabic Titles

Be it for the entertainment factor or the Box-Office records, Chennai Express is one movie that is going to last in people's minds. Now Chennai Express is in the news again as it will make Bollywood return to Egypt after 25 years on Wednesday, October 2.

Egyptians have so much love and affection for Indian cinema even they did not have these films releasing in their theatres. "It was an odd situation. India is the world's biggest producer of feature films; Indian films are screened in over 90 countries; Egyptians clearly love Indian films. And yet, they couldn't find their favourite Indian films on the big screen," Indian Ambassador Navdeep Suri exclaimed.

"That's where we intervened to connect Egyptian distribution channels with Indian film producers. I am delighted that they have come together to meet the demand of Egyptian audiences," Suri added.

Speaking on the occasion, Cairo International Film Festival President Samir Farid said Indian cinema has a long tradition and that was reflected in its global influence. He further said that it was the right of Egyptian audiences to have the opportunity to see Indian films in theatres.

Egyptian actress Aida al-Kashef, the lead actress in the critically acclaimed Indian movie Ship of Theseus, expressed her delight at the development, adding that working with an Indian director for her movie was a great experience. She hoped that a strong return by Indian movies would encourage further collaboration between Indian and Egyptian film industries.

United Motion Pictures, facilitated by Gaurang Films and the Indian embassy in Cairo, will release Shahruk Khan- Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express in Cairo and Alexandria. In the initial run, the movie will run in eight theatres in Cairo and two in Alexandria, including all major theatres and multiplexes. The film will carry Arabic subtitles.

'Boss'Akshay & Sonakshi to sizzle in new "Har Kisiko Nahi Milta" song

Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar  has left no stone unturned to play the perfectionist 'Boss' and buzz is that the film will have a special song  (1986) which is a reprised version of the original.

This new version of the song, which will feature the very gorgeous Sonakshi Sinha along with Akshay, said to have a very fresh and contemporary feel to it. "The sizzling chemistry of the duo is something to watch out for," revealed a source close to the team.

And interestingly, Akshay who is on a promotional spree has decided to launch this evergreen song in Dubai!

Well! As the song will be released this weekend, Akshay is surely going to make many women go weak in their knees as this is one of the hottest avatar of the superstar in recent time!

'Boss' is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions and is directed by Anthony D'souza. One of the biggest films of the year 'Boss' is all set to release on 16th October.

Movie Review :Besharam

Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Pallavi Sharda, Jaaved Jafferi, Amitosh Nagpal, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri

Director: Abhinav Kashyap

 Rating: *1/2

This is a film which pre-empts us from coming up with the classic line, "haaye, sharam nahin aati hai kya", because it is called Besharam. Which then frees it to indulge in every single "shameless" thing a Bollywood flick safely can, presumably because it has an A-list star. This is a film in which the hero is a self-confessed luchcha-lafanga: remember that phrase? The kind of thing that the villain used to do— be an illiterate lout, crack cheap jokes, harass the heroine, and pull at his crotch whenever possible — is now down to our hero. Not discreetly, that would be unbecoming of a besharam, but loudly, accompanied by background music, with the kind of exaggeration that doesn't allow you to look anywhere else.

Orphans and best friends Babli (Kapoor) and Titu (Nagpal) make a living by stealing cars. When Babli is not whacking hot wheels, he is line-maaroing Tara (Sharda), or stuffing socks in places that need to bulge, to 'jamaao impression'. Warned you about the crotch aspect, didn't I? Remember how Abhinav Kashyap had underlined the region below the belt in his debut Dabangg? You couldn't go from one frame to another without Salman Khan and his cohorts calling attention to their pelvic region, thrusting one way , then the other, over and over and over again. It looks as if Kashyap's signature move, and this time it is the Kapoor lad who's thrusting his butt, crack distinctly visible, in our face.

You have to go looking for the plot with a microscope. Babli is given two sets of obstacles to overcome. One is his real-life parents as a reel-cop-couple, Bulbul and Chulbul Chautala (Neetu and Rishi). And the other is a Chandigarh-based baddie (Jafferi), who has a line in stolen cars and cash. The proceedings are interrupted by too many superfluous songs, and repetitive exchanges with a debutant leading lady (Sharada) whose ordinariness seems to be her only discernible quality. The first half goes by reasonably quickly, the second nosedives because by then everything has plateaued.

Even the talented Ranbir can't save this one, because the whole thing is so lame. Kapoor is normally such a natural, but here you can see him working too hard at being a cheapo — the tacky clothes and hairstyle, the obscene smacking of the lips, the lascivious glances, the reeling off silly lines. He does carry it off in bits in the first half (yes, there are a few laughs to be had, but only a few). But overall he comes off as stale as the material. Imagine using such certified comics as Jaaved Jafferi, or having a casting coup like Rishi and Neetu to play off sonny boy Ranbir, and squandering the whole. Jafferi can be such a hoot, and Kapoor Senior is currently on a roll. You wouldn't know any of this, though, because the supporting cast, especially Nagpal as Kapoor's sidekick, and the seasoned Shivpuri as Sharda's mom, are wasted. This is only Kashyap's second film, and you can see he's already stopped trying for new.

Scratch that. Besharam is not a film. It is Bollywood's brightest young star stooping to conquer, in search of the mass market. There is no motif in the film other than making Ranbir the new Salman. But why do that when we already have a Salman?

Right, now that Ranbir has got this besharmi out of the way, can we ask the actor to get back from under?

Mass entertainer films will die totally: Salman Khan

Superstar Salman Khan, who brought mass entertainers back to life with films like 'Wanted', 'Ready' and 'Dabangg', feels that this space might die soon as it is now being overdone.

A new wave of action-masala entertainers was created by Salman and choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva with 'Wanted' in 2009.

The film earned over Rs 160 crore and changed things for the 47-year-old in the industry after a low phase.

Salman's 'Ready', 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguard', 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dabangg 2' made him one of the bankable stars in Bollywood.

"This space will die totally. I think this was a beautiful format where we had films like 'Wanted', Dabangg etc. Now everybody has overdone it so much that it might die away. These kinds of films are popular but the creativity is becoming less... It seems the same stuff is happening (every time in these films). I don't know which genre will click now," Salman told PTI in an exclusive interview here.

"The whole thing where one person beating up 50 people flying around will remain as this is part of our cinema. But there is a reason why and how he is beating. Now, the way action is done will change," he added.

Salman has an interesting range of films in his kitty including 'Jai Ho', 'Kick', Sooraj Barjatya's next and Prabhu Deva's next.

"'Jai Ho' will be different kind of film altogether it has all the ingredients -- drama, emotion etc. 'Kick' is also a different film. Again, Sooraj asked me to do a film for them, he gave me the idea and I loved it. It was a great script I had not worked with him since long," he said.

Also, Salman will be launching Sooraj, son of Aditya Pancholi, in the remake of 'Hero' but he is not willing to share details about the project currently.

Five things we known after watching the R...Rajkumar trailer

Even the makers don't know how to pronounce the film's title.

By now it is well known that the film's title for long was Rambo Rajkumar, But after some legal trouble, it was changed last minute. So it's R…Rajkumar.  The problem is now how do you say the film's name. Is it Rrrrr Rajkumar. Is it simply R Rajkumar? Is his name an expletive which explains why it is followed with an ellipsis? What's the deal? It appears the filmmakers are as clueless as we are. It explains why they end the trailer with "Poora naam 6 December ko sunna." Hopefully, that is time enough for the marketing team to figure what they want to call the film.

Sonakshi Sinha is the 1980s heroine of the 2010s.

Like always, Sinha dressed mostly in desi garb, will play the leading lady who initially spurns the hero only to fall for him later. The trailer shows her romancing the hero by the waterfall, standing behind him as he demonstrates his machismo and acting worried when he takes on an army of men for her sake. She also steps out sensuously drenched in a sari and dances in the desert,  But you see she is modern. Because she is feisty, she slaps the hero as he makes a disgusting kissing sound (which is recurring) and even fights the bad guys. Way to go!

Shahid Kapoor wants to be a full-on action hero now.

Case in point the dialogue, "Silent ho jaa, varna main violent ho jaaonga" which instantly reminded us of Kapoor's avatar in Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, which failed to set the box office ablaze. Like that film, R… Rajkumar also has its share of dialoguebaazi, flying bodies, punches and kicks. Unlike PPNH, however, we get to see Kapoor in more dramatic mode, screaming his lines and turning all angry. To get rid of his chocolate-boy looks, Kapoor has grown a beard for the part of the guy who gets bloody and brutal to fight for his love.

Sonu Sood is in Dabangg mode.

Did the few fleeting moments of Sood in the trailer remind you of his negative role in Dabangg? You aren't the only one. You can see that Sood serves the same purpose here which is to challenge the hero and bring out his violent side by attacking his girlfriend. Simultaneously, you also know that he doesn't stand a chance and his fate is doomed.

Lest you forget, Prabhu Dheva is the film's director.

After two 100 crore plus flicks namely Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, Prabhu Dheva is a sought-after director. Tips head Kumar Taurani in fact roped in Dheva in the hope that he'd launch his son, Girish, with aplomb in Ramaiya Vastaviya. But that didn't exactly go according to the plan. Here Dheva is described as "The director of mass entertainers strikes again". Let's hope he delivers to that description and gives Kapoor a much-needed hit.

Now as Dr. Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan received a doctorate from Jodhpur University for his exception and contribution to Indian Cinema.

”I will be happy to accept the honour that Jodhpur National University wishes to confer on me,” the Big B said in communication to Capt Nair.

All the students wanted to get a look  of the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood. Big B inspired the students by telling them the poem from his hit movie ‘Agneepath’.

Along with Amitabh Bachchan, Capt CP Krishnan Nair, founder chairman and chairman emeritus of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts will be conferred the first honorary doctorate in hospitality and business management.
