Ranbir Kapoor’s Besharam trailer released

Ranbir Kapoor's 'Besharam' trailer has been launched but the film's lead actor was not present at the event. Director Abhinav Kashyap said that it was not pre-planned, so the actor could not make it.

"This was not a pre-planned launch. Ranbir is in Sri Lanka and that is why he is not here," Kashyap told reporters at the launch.

"We are roughly two months before the release of the film. This was a part of the promotion cycle. We begin our promotion campaign from tomorrow," he said.

In 'Besharam', set to release October 2, Ranbir will be seen as a middle-class boy, sans glamour.

"He is not anti hero here. He is the hero amongst the masses and a hero with whom everyone will relate to. I am not trying to propagate any social message through my film. He is here to entertain everyone, even a poor man, who is not educated," he said.

Talking about the title 'Besharam', he said that the idea is to dispel negativity attached to the word.

"When I was making 'Dabangg' as well, people used to ask me that why am I naming my film 'Dabangg' as it is a negative word. Even 'Besharam' is a villainous word. I want to tell people the right meaning of the word. I want to show that 'Besharam' can be positive. This will be the quality of my hero. He is a poor guy but has a nice heart," he said

Hrithik and Kareena to star together in KJo's next

It’s official! The hot onscreen pair of Hrithik and Kareena will be screen together after a gap of 10 long years. Theirs was quiet a hit jodi at one point of time, having given so many hits together their chemistry created magic on screen.

But they parted ways after the rumors of their alleged affair started doing the rounds. Now, however, fans of the two can rejoice – they will be appearing opposite each other in Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra‘s upcoming film, Shuddhi.

Karan Johar told a popular tabloid, “When Karan (Malhotra) came to me with Shuddhi, his desire was to cast Hrithik and Kareena. I spoke to both of them and they were happy to be on board. The film is an intense love story and because it has a reincarnation theme, he has written a script that is dramatic and outstanding.

Also, such a theme requires actors who can bring the desired intensity. To me, it is really an important casting. But I don’t look at it as a coup. Kareena is beautiful, talented and a powerhouse performer. AndHrithik, well, what can I say? He can melt a nation just with his eyes.”

Hrithik and Kareena last worked together in Sooraj Barjatya's 2003 dud, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, after co-starring in Yaadein, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Well! We all wonder if they still have the phenomenal chemistry to grip their audiences and whether or not they will still be able to recreate their old magic!

Salman Khan spotted with reported girlfriend Iulia Vantur again, enjoys a family meal with her

Bollywood's Dabangg Khan, Salman seems to have moved on from his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. After having spent some quality time with his reported girlfriend Iulia Vantur on the sets of Mental, the two were spotted enjoying a family lunch recently.

Salman and Iulia were joined by his sisters and other family members.

Iulia, who was seated next to Salman Khan, was looking nice in a black dress.

Last week, Salman Khan was also seen spending time with Iulia on the sets of Mental, which many believe was a family picnic after the shoot.

Earlier, reports suggested that Salman and Iulia had been spotted together almost everyday at a five-star hotel in Bandra.

Salman has, in the past, dated actresses Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif but has never gone public about any of his relationships.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: Saif can't be vegetarian ever

Actor Saif Ali Khan loves non-vegetarian food and his actress-wife Kareena Kapoor says he just can't do without eating meat.

"Saif can't be vegetarian, he says he can be vegetarian only for one meal and what that means, I don't understand. He is like, 'I can't not eat meat at night'," the 32-year-old said.

Saif has found new love in kachoris now. "But now Saif has found new love in kachoris and samosas and he gorged on them in Lucknow," said Kareena, who has turned vegetarian.

Kareena is currently busy promoting Prakash Jha's Satyagraha. She is also shooting for Punit Malhotra's Gori Tere Pyaar Mein with Imran Khan.

Saif and Kareena got married in October 2012.

Bigg Boss 7: Salman Khan to charge Rs 5 crore per episode?

Reportedly, Bollywood's macho-man's pay packet just got double!

Salman Khan's upcoming stint with the seventh season of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss, is going to be bigger and better in every sense of the world.

Apparently, the increasing popularity of the programme by the year, has proved to be a boon for our hot hunk, who has been successfully hosting the show since its fourth season.

Clearly on his career high, Salman Khan will reportedly take home a whopping amount of Rs. 5 crore per episode this time around. Previously, his per episode remuneration was half of the said sum. That means, the superstar will be getting a huge amount of Rs 130 crore for his next Bigg Boss journey.

If the goss turns out to be a true piece of information, then Salman's big feat will certainly beat the one registered in Aamir Khan's name was paid Rs. 3 crore per episode for his reality chat show Satyamev Jayate, and Amitabh Bachchan got about Rs. 2.5 crore per episode for the last season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Salman will be slipping into two diametrically opposite avatars in the forthcoming season. While one of his makeovers will see him charm the viewers as an angel, we will also get to witness Khan's mean streaks in a devil look.

Bigg Boss 7 will hit the telly screens this September.

1st multi-lingual animated movie on Chhatrapati Shivaji to release on August 2

A full length animated film on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a Maratha icon, will be released in Marathi for audiences in Maharashtra on August 2. In order to capture a larger audience, it has also been dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, which makes it a movie first of its kind.

The founder of the Maratha Empire at the height of the Mughal rule lived from 1627-80, and was crowned Chhatrapati in 1674 in his capital Raigad. A master war strategist, Chhatrapati Shivaji is revered over almost four centuries for his able administration, shrewd politics and as a just ruler in the state and country.

The animated movie has been directed by Azhar Khan and Anand Singh under their company production Aman Anam Productions, and titled "Chhatrapati Shivaji - The Emperor of People's Pride".

The movie’s story, screenplay and dialogues are penned jointly by the trio of Azhar Khan, Jagmohan Kapoor and Kartikey Tiwari and dwells on all major aspects of the warrior king's life and influences, his wars with the Mughal and other historical events spanning from his childhood to death.

The lyrics penned by Kartikey Tiwari and Anandu have been composed by Ram Gautam and Kartikey Tiwari and sung by Kailash Kher, Javed Ali, Sadhana Sargam, Madhushree and Sanjivani Amey.

Chhatrapati Shivaji has inspired several generations of politicians, political leaders and the people of the state. In fact, the state's leading political party Shiv Sena was founded by the late Bal Thackeray in Mumbai, based on Chhatrapati Shivaji's ideals.

Salman Khan, The Businessman

Salman Khan is a busy man these days. From shooting for Sohail Khan’s ‘Mental’ to making court appearances, the actor has packed schedules. But there is also another side to Salman Khan.

The Businessman.

The actor was spotted coming out of his ‘Being Human’ apparel store in Bandra early last night. A true businessman that he is, the actor repeatedly has made sure that the apparel is of fine quality and personally supervised his business on a regular basis.

The star has been quite busy with ‘Mental’ now titled ‘Jai Ho!’ Salman Khan is also going to kick-start Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ in London from tomorrow.

Just before Salman Khan leaves, looks like he paid a quick visit to see if everything is fine. Quite admirable!

Dhanush: Waiting for script as intense as Raanjhanaa

Southern actor Dhanush, who is enjoying the success of his debut Hindi film Raanjhanaa, has been receiving lot of acting offers in Bollywood but is waiting for an impressive script.

"I am getting offers from Bollywood. I will do whatever suits me. I am waiting for a script that will be as intense and lovely as Raanjhanaa," said Dhanush.

The Kolaveri Di star praised his director Anand L Rai but admits that he did not anticipate this kind of response from the industry and audience.

"I did not anticipate this kind of response. It is much more than we had wanted. We had expected less but God is kind and generous to us. It is one man's miracle - Anand L Rai, it is one man's achievement. It is not an easy thing to pull off a film with a newcomer as I was from south," the actor said.

Even his father-in-law Rajnikanth and his fans down south have liked the film and Dhanush is happy with the response that is coming his way.

For Raanjhanaa, Dhanush had teamed up with Sonam Kapoor and he wouldn't mind sharing screen space with the actress again.

"I would love to work with Sonam, she is my best friend," he said.

Expensive International Call For R Madhavan

It could be a biggest career-changing move for actor R Madhavan. The actor has been roped in by director Simon West for a Hollywood film.

R Madhavan, with his debut in ‘Night Of The Living Dead: Origins’ joins the like of Om Puri, Irrfan Khan and Anil Kapoor. These stars have played major roles in hugely popular Hollywood films.

Madhavan’s role isn’t a miniscule one. Neither is the name Simon West too small in Hollywood. Simon West has directed the ‘Tomb Raider’ series with Angelina Jolie and ‘The Expandables 2’ amongst other acclaimed films.

With this collaboration, Madhavan’s set to have popularity in the west too. His previous role in ‘3 Idiots’ with Aamir Khan was highly acclaimed.

He spoke from Los Angeles, where the film is currently being shot and says, “I didn’t think this was possible by any stretch of imagination. West met me and said he liked my performance in ‘3 Idiots’, which was a major success in the US. He was cast hunting for his next project and said I’ll suit the part.”

Madhavan will play the role of an ex-marine in the film. The actor apparently was in the US nursing an injured knee. It was through a common friend that Maddy landed at Los Angeles and bumped into Simon West.

So much for a co-incidence! Looks like Madhavan is quite charged up with his new innings. In Bollywood, Aanand L Rai has signed him for the sequel to ‘Tanu Weds Manu’. Madhavan was seen with Kangana Ranaut in the film and will again be sharing screen-space with her in the sequel.

But for now it’s international calling for R Madhavan. Enjoy the experience Maddy. Very few get opportunities like this!

Shahrukh Khan would do Iftaar with fans in Dubai this Ramadan

Once again Shahrukh Khan's generous attitude has proved why he is called as Bollywood's 'Badshah'. According to the reports, SRK has invited all his Dubai fans to do Iftaar with him on his promotional visit to Dubai. The superstar will start his tour of Dubai from August 1 this year.

SRK will visit the city with his upcoming film 'Chennai Express' team. Here he will be seen doing Iftaar publically with his numerous fans at the Arabian centre.

A Red Chillies Production venture, Chennai Express is slated for an August 9 release.

Shahrukh Khan is widely known for his full fledged publicity stints for his every movie. He never lets any of the chances for the publicity of his films go by. So, by inviting his enormous fan following of Dubai to do Iftaar with him, SRK has banged on the bull's eye.

Earlier, SRK's former arch-rival Salman Khan had also gone to Dubai to complete the shooting schedules of his upcoming film 'Mental'. It is also being said that Salman's film can be titled as 'Jai Ho' keeping its

Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri to host grand Iftar party at Mannat

Shah Rukh Khan has a lot going on for him at the moment. He recently brought home his third child AbRam, is recuperating from his shoulder injury and his recent hug of the year with his former bete noire Salman Khan became the toast of town.

His next film too is scheduled to hit the marquee to coincide with the auspicious occasion of Eid. No wonder that this year, the star is planning to throw a grand iftar bash to celebrate the day. The actor, who is known to arrange lavish parties at his Bandra residence, Mannat, admits to being in a wonderful mood at the moment. His last Eid party was held in 2011. Last year, the actor was busy shooting for Jab Tak Hai Jaan in Ladakh.

Says SRK, "Hum logon ke liye sabse badi hoti hai jab humari film release hoti hai. I would really like to celebrate the day apart from the religious sentiments attached to it for all the good things happening around me. I will celebrate it with the whole team of my film. I will keep a party at home and we will all meet." He added that the media too was invited to attend and that he would be serving special Ramzan delicacies. "It will be a great honour for me if everyone joins me," says SRK.

Movie Review: 'The Wolverine'

The Wolverine movie review;

Cast: Hugh Jackman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Famke Janssen, Will Yun Lee, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, Svetlana Khodchenkova and Hal Yamanouchi;

Director: James Mangold;

Rating: **

After "Red 2" and Turbo last week, here's another film based on a comic book character. For the uninitiated, The Wolverine is a "ronin" mutant superhero with metallic claws rising from his knuckles. He often appears as an associate of the X-Men.

This film is a pure pulp fiction based on the 1982 limited series on the character's exploits in Japan. Though the film connects and refers to various past "X-Men" films, this one is no sequel. It has a consolidated story by itself and the past references beautifully merge with the present tale on its own.

The narration begins with two snippets. The first: Logan's act of protecting a Japanese soldier and their survival during the holocaust at a Japanese POW camp on the outskirts of Nagasaki, during World War II. And the second, his nightmares of having killed the love of his life, Jean Grey, and he swearing not to lead a violent life.

After establishing the back story, the film rolls with an unkempt Logan leading a passive life in the Yukon wilds, occasionally losing his temper, when he sees sport hunters killing wild bears for amusement.

It is during his stay at the Yukon wilds that a red-haired mysterious woman, Yukio, surfaces to inform him that he is summoned to Japan by a dying millionaire, Mr. Yashida. Ironically, Mr. Yashida is the Japanese soldier whose life Logan had saved in Nagasaki. Hence, he complies with the request and travels to Japan.

Once in Japan, Mr. Yashida, who is on his deathbed, politely tries to seek Logan's secret of immortality, failing which he makes Logan promise to protect his granddaughter Mariko who he fears would be murdered soon after she inherits his empire.

What follows is a series of insipid family politics within the Yashida clan together with high-on-action dramatic stunts that involves - henchmen fighting on top of the moving bullet train, a corrupt minister, an army of ninjas, fellow mutant enemies and weak ploy to rob the Wolverine of his super powers.

Hugh Jackman as Logan expertly fits into the character, but unfortunately the script provides him with only limited scope to perform, which is way below the mark of an ace 'superhero'. Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, the deceased love of Logan, injects guilt pangs into Logan through hackneyed dream sequences, is funny and expressive.

Tao Okamota as the dynamic Mariko is beautiful and elegant, but the chemistry between Logan and her is sketchy and superficial. Rila Fukushima is decent as Yukio, but the "bodyguard" bit at the end is confusing and unwarranted.

Mangold is a brilliant director and he manages to unfurl the drama imaginatively with the help of production designer Francois Audouy and crisp editing. The production values of the film are overwhelming.

The frames canned by director of photography Ross Emery too are worth a mention. He has captured Japan with all its aesthetic beauty. He has also combined the latest digital technology with images from traditional lenses to deliver a characteristic look and feel.

Deemed to be an action film, the script provides high voltage action sporadically. Unfortunately, the fights that keep you glued are synthetic and bloodless and the climax gravitates instead of surging to the zenith.

"The Wolverine" is not a bad film at all.

Movie Review: 'Issaq'

Issaq movie review;

Cast: Prateik Babbar, Amyra Dastur, Ravi Kishan, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Makarand Deshpande, Prashant Kumar and Prashant Narayanan;

Director: Manish Tiwary;

Rating: ****

Nothing prepares you for this. The bludgeoning impact of director Manish Tiwary's desi Varanasi must-see adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" would certainly have made Shakespeare smile.

Just a few weeks ago, we had Aanand Rai taking us to Varanasi for a ravishing romantic romp in Raanjhanaa. Now, this!

With considerable support from his co-writers Padmaja Thakore-Tiwary and Pawan Soni, Manish Tiwary has written a raw, rugged and rapacious "Romeo and Juliet", which has no 'Balcony Scene' (thank god!) and yes, Juliet remains a proud virgin till the end. The deviations apart, Issaq is a frightfully fertile film filled with images of rancour and tenderness.

Tiwary wastes no time in getting into the thick of Montague-Capulet feud. Here they are named the Mishras and the Kashyaps - but what's in a name? Families teeming with gun-toting leery men whose voracious appetite for killing is matched by their libidos.
Tiwary's plot is Machiavellian in its Shakespearean ambitions. He twists and coils the love tale into shapes of great wonderment. So, if he chooses not to tamper with the original Shakespearean ending (down to the apothecary's potion working cruel deceptions on the couple's turbulent destiny), he makes radical changes in the Shakespearean play's politics.

Naxalism and Maoism are interwoven into the romance and courtship through a character, brilliantly played by the ever-dependable Prashant Narayanan, while the couple in love couldn't care less if the world all around them is going up in flames. Manish Tiwary manages to make his lead pair look so much in love and so oblivious to its damning repercussions that we wonder if this pair's karma is engendered by despair.

Indeed doom has seldom seemed so desirable on screen. Tiwary's brilliant production designer Ashwini Shrivastav gives to Varanasi a look of lived-in and loved-in splendour. Yes, we have been through these crowded bustling bylanes and river ghats of the holy city in a number of films. But somehow Varanasi looks... born again! Vishal Sinha's cinematography is plush and passionate and yet the film's visuals never topples over into the kingdom of the garish.

And what visuals! The director makes the desi Romeo and Juliet's turbulent togetherness an occasion for optical enchantment.

Rahul (Prateik Babbar) and Bachi (Amyra Dastur), that is Tiwary's Romeo and Juliet, stroll in a bangles market, the loud vibrant colours of the glass ornament screaming out a riot of lovelorn messages. This lush sequences transpires right after Rahul's two sardonic friends (one of whom will die a gangwar-infused fearless death soon after) discuss how nowadays Rahul has lost his machismo.

But we are jumping the gun. Can't help it. Guns blaze all across this choleric love tale where the desi Romeo meets the ghar ki Juliet at a Holi bash. Here, the shot of Prateik falling from the rooftop into a yellow-coloured water tank is so brilliant that you fear the director's visual aptitude may overpower the basic plot.

Fear not. Manish Tiwary knows his Shakespeare as well as he knows the rugged north Indian hinterland of blood savagery and abuses, which Vishal Bhardwaj and Anurag Kashyap have brought so persistently into our range of vision.

Tiwary cleverly holds back the boorishness. There's little or no vulgarity and uncouthness in the script. "Issaq" manages to project the perky innocence of first-love without getting over-cute, cloying or cheesy.

A lot of the endearing and enduring impact of the romance comes from the two players.

Prateik is born again as an actor. His performance as a love-smitten Romeo is so apt that you tend to forgive his past embarrassing performances. There's a marked improvement in his diction delivery. The Uttar Pradesh accent does fall off. But what the heck! This Romeo is real. So are the songs, which mesh so fluently into the plot that you wonder why Shakespeare didn't write his tragic play as a musical.

Amyra Dastur is a prized find. Precocious, pretty, expressive and agile, this girl is a star in her very first film. True, she does come across as slightly too 'convent' to be a Varanasi girl, but her radiant sincerity simply melts your misgivings. Together, Prateik and Amyra create the best Romeo and Juliet since Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey in Franco Zeffireli's "Romeo & Juliet".

Among the rest of the very fine cast, Ravi Kishen is simply outstanding as Amyra's protective angry violent uncle. Whenever Ravi is on screen, it's hard to look at any other actor. Rajeshwari Sachdev as Amyra's stepmom steps into a randy role with relish. She is in splendid form, bringing to her character both a sexual frankness and a moral ambivalence on which hangs the impact of the tragedy.

I've to mention a sequence where Bachchi/Juliet is being married off to the cop-suitor(Prashant Kumar, well cast). Rajeshwari applies the haldi on her grieving stepdaughter. Within seconds, Rajeshwari's expressions go from contempt and smugness to feminine empathy and compassion... the hallmark of a great actress.

Tiwary blends such moments of free-flowing sensitivity with the darker, murkier reality of blazing guns and furtive fornication without letting the sleaze touch the purity of the central romance. Love and war come together in a passionate embrace. A sense of desperate longing runs through this adrenaline-pumping drama driven forward by a cast of actors who know there is something vital happening here.

So do we.

This is one of the most innovative adaptations of Romeo & Juliet in any language.

Katrina is SRK's leading lady in Happy New Year

This Kat's finally out of the bag. If rumours are to be believed, the actress has emerged on top of the list of contenders for the female lead role in Farah Khan's next film starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Sources say Katrina Kaif has beaten the trio of Ankita Lokhande, Jennifer Winget and Simran Kaur Mundi to secure the role. And apparently the actress bagged the film after her dates cleared up with her other movie opposite Hrithik Roshan pushed back to later in the year.

Our source says, "The casting director of the film had already finalised the other three ladies. But with Hrithik going for his sudden brain surgery, the equations changed and Kat came on board. She is completely free for the next three months."

Apparently, SRK had also happened to mention to Farah that he preferred an established actress opposite him in the film. And with Deepika Padukone's diary being full, Kat was roped in. An insider says, "The film is going on the floors from September 5 onwards and since they want around 40 days from Katrina, she can easily shoot the film through September and October."

The initial talks have apparently already taken place and Kat will sign on the dotted line on her return to Mumbai. Katrina is currently holidaying with her alleged beau Ranbir Kapoor in Sri Lanka. Both Farah and Kat remained unavailable for comment.

Kangna and Madhavan will be back with 'Tanu Weds Manu' sequel

Basking in the glory of Raanjhanaa success, director Aanand L Rai confirms that the sequel of his 2011 hit Tanu Weds Manu is very much on. Actors R Madhavan and Kangna Ranaut are going to be back in the sequel.

Tanu Weds Manu was a surprise hit of the year 2011; it also established Kangna Ranaut as a versatile actress. The movie was a love story of an NRI doctor (Madhavan) and a feisty girl (Kangna), who does not believe in arranged marriages, and wants to marry her lover, a rogue, but later falls for the sweet NRI.

Earlier, too, there were rumours about the sequel, and that Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma could be roped in. But Aanand denies any such rumour, and tells the media that the second installment of Tanu Weds Manu will bring the original pair of Kangna Ranaut and Madhavan once again to the celluloid.

“There is a sequel, it’s in the system...the plan is still on. I don't know when it will go on floors. If its happening it will happen with same star cast -- Madhavan and Kangna will go ahead with the franchise. The film is incomplete without them,” Rai told the media people at the success bash of Raanjhanaa. Incidentally, Kangna, too made her presence felt at the success bash.

When asked about the Raanjhanaa sequel, the director said that he can’t make a second part to the film as it is over for him.

Spotted: Salman Khan with ‘ladylove’ Iulia Vantur in Jungle

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his alleged ladylove Iulia Vantur have been very cautious about being not seen together even though the tinsel town is abuzz with rumours of their brewing romance. But here’s the first photo of them together.

In the photo, Salman Khan and the Romanian beauty seem to be on a picnic along with a few unit hands. While Salman is unsurprisingly shirtless, Iulia is seen in a yellow tee. She had accompanied Salman to the shoot of his film Mental in Hyderabad and was along with him for a couple of weeks.

The Hyderabad leg of the Mental schedule is over, and now Salman Khan is slated to fly to Glasgow to shoot for Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Kick on July 27. Whether Iulia Vantur will join him there is anybody’s guess.

Salman Khan and Iulia have known each other for quite some time, but their relationship didn’t grab as many headlines as it has recently.

In May, there came reports that Salman and Iulia are seriously thinking of marrying each other. Then came the denial from Salman’s dad. Then Salman and Iulia flew to Hyderabad. The duo allegedly spent a lot of time together.

Ranbir, Katrina Kaif spotted in Sri lanka...

Here’s an eye-popping evidence of the love between Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif and the handsome heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.

After holidaying in Spain, Bollywood actors and rumoured lovers Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have been spotted again - this time in Sri Lanka. The stars, like many others before them, aren't talking about their alleged relationship but are giving us all the right hints.

If red is the colour of love then the two were rather colour-cooridnated as they were sighted in red clothes in the island country. Ranbir Kapoor is in Sri Lanka to prepare for his role in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet and Katrina Kaif is reportedly accompanying him- at least till work commitments come calling. The shooting of her upcoming film Bang Bang has been delayed due to her co-star Hrithik Roshan's surgery and that's why Katrina is spending some quality time with Ranbir.

And while their photographs were clicked at a coffee shop in Sri Lanka, the two also enjoyed a workout session together with Ranbir's trainer. Not so long ago the duo were clicked in Spain while holidaying in Ibiza and while Ranbir has maintained his single status in the past, these pictures by Stardust magazine tell another story.

But if you are waiting for an announcement from the two, it looks like there's a slim chance of that happening. Of the many reasons one could think of, the truth is that they have been involved in very public relationships in the past. Dating a superstar like Salman Khan was never easy. From birthdays to brawls Katrina saw them all. The media circus around it was immense. Ranbir too has gone through the same. He may have scored at the box office with Deepika Padukone in the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani recently but once upon a time things were bitter.

So while the two are public personalities, they are perhaps looking for a rather private personal life. Since Kat has now bagged another superstar, we think the circus has just begun.  From Spain to Sri Lanka, all the photographic proof of the brewing romance between Ranbir and Katrina is presented ahead. Do not miss it.

Salman-Shah Rukh hug: Salim Khan expresses his views

Salim Khan, father of superstar Salman Khan expressed his views on the “hug at Iftaar party” episode that made headlines recently.

Salman took the initiative to not only greet his arch rival Shah Rukh Khan at Baba Siddiqui’s Iftaar party, but also embrace him. And the proud host wasted no time in bringing the two warring Khans together for a photo op. The shutterbugs present at the venue went berserk and made the most of the sort of Bollywood’s ‘historic’ moment!

However, Papa Salim Khan feels that there is no need to glorify the episode but at the same time is proud of his son for having taken the initiate to hug SRK.

“I am happy that my son has taken the initiative. It was a sensible thing to do and a much-needed gesture and Shah Rukh reciprocated,” DNA quoted Salim Khan as saying.

“Please don’t give so much importance to it. There are disagreements between miyaan-biwi, neighbours, society and so many other individuals. They (Salman and Shah Rukh) are actors and rivals. Inke problems hote hain aur solve bhi ho jaate hain. I have always maintained that there can never be any love between any two big stars, only courtesy. It is not possible for big stars to love each other. Even stars like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar were just courteous to each other. Salman and Shah Rukh must have decided to be mature and courteous and that is something that must be maintained,” senior Khan added.

Talking about Salman and SRK’s reconciliation, Salim said, “They both are self-respecting people. They must have decided to put aside their ego instead of thinking about what hurt them. Maybe they felt foolish behaving in a childish manner and instead decided to behave like mature adults on that day. Media should be talking on much more important issues than this.”

SRK Launches ‘Chennai Express’ Game

Shah Rukh Khan has always been a lover of technology. Even when it comes to his films, he loves to promote it using the newest technology available. Therefore, it comes as no surprise when it is announced that Shah Rukh Khan’s latest offering ‘Chennai Express’ has a game version for mobile phones.

This is not the first time any of Shah Rukh Khan’s movies will have a game. His superhero movie ‘Ra.One’ was based on gaming, so it was natural that there would be a game spin-off involved.
Farhan Akhtar too devised a game for the ‘Don’ franchise which has Shah Rukh Khan playing the titular character.

For ‘Chennai Express’, the game has been created for mobile phones running on Android and Java systems, with one coming out soon for iOS, Apple’s operating system.

The game will feature the action, romance and comedy from the film, with some over-the-top Rohit Shetty-style car action.

Let’s hope this game manages to keep gamers hooked and have them marching to theaters too. ‘Chennai Express’ releases on 9 August, 2013, and stars Deepika Padukone alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

Lungi Dance Is A Tribute To Rajinikanth: SRK

The latest song from Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has seemingly been made as a tribute to the inimitable Rajinikanth!

Apparently, Shah Rukh Khan was very impressed with the Southern superstar’s effortless style, and wanted to pay him a tribute in his latest flick.

This is not the first time that SRK has made a Rajinikanth reference in his films. Earlier, for his superhero film ‘Ra.One’, Rajinikanth made a special appearance, and Shah Rukh Khan was seen paying homage to him in the action sequence.

This time, a special song, titled Thalaivar Tribute (Lungi Dance), specially composed and performed by controversial rapper Honey Singh, has been commissioned to pay tribute to the legendary flair and style of Rajinikanth.

Shah Rukh Khan admitted that he could not refuse to be a part of song, because he (like everyone else on the planet) is a “huge fan of the global cultural icon Rajinikanth”.

Shah Rukh Khan graciously smiled and revealed: “Who isn’t a fan of ‘The Rajinikanth’? I had met Honey Singh and Bhushan Kumar five days back and heard the song, which is titled Thalaivar Tribute . I found it very apt for Rajini sir and wanted to be a part of it as a fan of one of the greatest actors we have.”

He then roped in his co-star Deepika Padukone too. “Deepika, on my request, happily agreed to be a part of the song because even she is a huge fan of him. The song is fun, happy and completely Rajinikanth Style!” Shah Rukh added.

Choreographed by Chinni Prakash, Lungi Dance is set to release soon.

Is Fatehpur Sikri lucky for Katrina ?

Katrina Kaif prayed at the shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti
Has a visit to the Sufi shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti here become a must for Katrina Kaif before the release of her film? Is the shrine proving lucky for the actress?

Katrina visited Fatehpur Sikri, about 35 km from Agra, on Thursday and offered prayers and quickly left before anyone could know about her visit.

Dressed in white, Katrina covered her face with a white scarf, according to Saif Faridi, the shrine in charge. She offered a chadar, and reportedly prayed for her forthcoming film Dhoom 3.

According to guides, she also prayed for the success of Jewel of India, another film slated for release later this year.

‘Sholay 3D’ First Look To Be Out On 15 August

A few years ago, Bollywood went through a trend of adding colour to old Hindi film classics like ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Naya Daur’. The new trend in Bollywood is to add a third dimension to old classics. The first film to fall prey to 3D conversion is the inimitable ‘Sholay’.

‘Sholay’ had first released on 15 August, 1975. After a slow start, word-of-mouth eventually brought great fortune to the multi-starrer. With actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan and Sanjeev Kumar in immortal roles, director Ramesh Sippy gave India a huge hit.

Now as the 3D conversion of the film nears completion, a first look of ‘Sholay 3D’ will be launched on 15 August, 2013, exactly 38 years since the day of its original release.

The presenter of the film Jayanti Lal Gada says, “August 15, 1975 holds a special significance in our life.”
‘Sholay 3D’ will release on 13 September, 2013. In the 100th year of Indian cinema, it’ll be good to watch one of India’s greatest films on the big screen again, albeit in 3D.

Emraan Hashmi's next titled Shaatir

UTV Motion Pictures and director Kunal Deshmukh have finally zeroed in on the title Shaatir for their thriller, featuring Emraan Hashmi as a conman.

The movie was in title trouble. When the makers checked to register Shaatir, they realised that the title already belonged to Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.

This was a huge cause of concern for the makers. Incidentally, when UTV officials met Rohit Shetty for a casual meeting since the two are working on Chennai Express, this topic came up.

Rohit, who has had an exceptional relationship with Ashtavinayak courtesy the superhit Golmaal series with them, agreed to speak to the production company, and helped settle the concern.

The makers were thrilled and grateful to Rohit for his help.

"Rohit was extremely helpful, he immediately spoke to Ashtavinayak and helped us get the title from them," Manish Hariprasad, creative director, Disney-UTV, said in a statement.

"We're very excited with our next production which is now called Shaatir. This will be Emraan's second film with us and we are looking forward to work with him on something he has not played before and he is also very excited about playing a character of a shaatir conman," Hariprasad added.

Randhir Kapoor: Keen on reviving RK Films banner

Actor-director Randhir Kapoor says he is keen to revive RK Films, the banner established by his late filmmaker father Raj Kapoor.

"Very soon RK Films will start producing many films in a year with new directors, music composers and actors. They will help us to understand the psyche of today's audience. We will keep you entertaining the way we have been doing from the past 80 years," said Randhir.

Raj Kapoor established RK Films in 1948. The first film under the banner Aag was a failure but Kapoor found success with Barsaat, a scene from which also became its logo.

He then went on to direct films such as Awaara, Boot Polish, Jagte Raho, Shri 420 and many others for the banner.

When Kapoor died in 1988 in the middle of shooting Henna, Randhir took over the studio. The last film under the banner was Aa Ab Laut Chalen in 1999.

Randhir, 66, directed three films - Henna, Dharam Karam and Kal Aaj Aur Kal under the banner.

Asked if he would direct any other film under the banner when it will be revived, the actor said, "I should have directed more but I am a lazy person and have taken a backseat."

Randhir made his directorial debut with Kal Aaj Aur Kal, which also featured his wife Babita, father Raj Kapoor and grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.

He gave three consecutive hit films Jeet, Raampur Ka Lakshman and Jawani Diwani.

"I am very happy and satisfied with my Bollywood journey. I am a happy man. Both my children (Kareena and Karisma) are doing well. I don't do much work these days. I don't work to earn my livelihood anymore," he said.

Randhir is now seen in light-hearted films such as Housefull, Housefull 2 and Action Replayy.

"Now, I can't play the kind of characters I played in my days. I like the directors I have worked with. They respect me and Sajid (Khan) had even told me that he wrote Dabboo Kapoor's character in Housefull 2 keeping me in mind. All these mean a lot to me," he said.

Randhir will be seen in Prabhudeva's next Ramaiya Vastavaiya with Poonam Dhillon and Vinod Khanna.

"I am a fan of Prabhudeva and wanted to work with him. It's a sensible film and a very refreshing. Moreover, I was getting to work with my friends Poonam Dhillon and Vinod Khanna," said the actor, who is paired opposite Poonam in the film.

Ekta Kapoor observes rozas for Once Upon a Time...

It is a known fact that Ekta Kapoor visits the Balaji shrine in South India or Ajmer Sharief before her film releases, to pray. In the years gone by, she has also observed a roza (fast) during Ramadan. While every year she fasts for one day, this time she is keeping multiple rozas.

As the keenly awaited Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara is up for a release on August 15, Kapoor is fasting on all the important days during Ramadan. She even plans to visit Mumbai's Mohamed Ali Road to celebrate iftaari and feed the poor.

SRK, Salman Khan hug each other at iftaar party

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan shook hands at Baba Siddique’s Iftar party on Saturday night. This is the first time in the last five years that both the Khans’ have acknowledged each other’s presence.

Shah Rukh Khan and Salim Khan were seated at the chief minister’s table, along with other ministers and important guests. The Dabangg actor walked around the table greeting people. When Salman reached Shah Rukh’s side, one could feel the tension in the air. Everyone waited with baited breath to see what would happen next. SRK kept a straight face and looked ahead to avoid an awkward moment. That’s when Salman tapped him on his shoulder and extended his hand for a shake. SRK got up and hugged him.

Suddenly there was an excitement and everyone around began clicking pictures. A source present said, “They did not speak after that. If Salman had ignored only Shah Rukh at the table, it would have been very uncomfortable for everyone present at the Iftar party. It was really gracious of him to make the first move. SRK, was quick to react with a warm smile and a genuine hug.”

Ranbir Kapoor reveal his relationship with Katrina Kaif

Chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor and gorgeous Katrina Kaif have never admitted to being more than friends but in the recent past, the duo has been caught on camera unwillingly and by the pace of photograph that are surfacing regularly, it seems that Ranbir is ready to go public with his relationship with Katrina. Well, the actor has been giving his entire attention to Katrina after the chemistry between Ranbir and ex-flame Deepika Padukone gained appraisal during Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani .

The group dinner with the duo's respective mothers and the Ibiza party hideout came to the notice of media. Moreover, their secret Dubai actions were also disclosed.

The two actors look confused as sometimes they hit the same venue together and on the flipside, they made separate entries.

Reportedly, the pair celebrated Katrina's birthday eve with friends and later, they drove to a five star hotel and had dinner together. Moreover, buzz is that Ranbir gifted an expensive pair of earrings to Katrina.

The insider reveals that post their dinner date, they left for screening of Ship Of Theseus where they arrived in separate cars, knowing the fact about media's presence.

A few days later, the two were caught arriving in the same car at the screening of Nikhil Advani's D-Day starring Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor.

Initially, only Ranbir was seen as he was sitting in front but later the media noticed Katrina, who was sitting at the back. Pictures revealed the duo in the same car. Well, speculations still continue as no one can be too sure about the couple, making their status public.

Movie review: The Ship Of Theseus

Director: Anand Gandhi

Cast: Aida El Kashaf, Neeraj Kabi, Sohum Shah

 Rating: ****1/2

The first thought that came to me when I heard what this film was about was 'pretentious'. The scepticism actually began with its title, derived from a classic conundrum posited by an ancient Greek. An Indian film, made by a first-time filmmaker who started off writing syrupy saas-bahu serials, called The Ship Of Theseus? But my fears were unfounded. The Ship Of Theseus is neither pretentious nor precious. It is by far the most original, the most poignantly realised, the most thought-provoking film that I have seen in longer than I care to remember.

If you dismantle a ship, plank by plank, and reassemble it, does it remain the same ship? Like all eternal questions which have remained tantalisingly out of our leaden reach, this one too doesn't lend itself to any easy answers. It could well be yes, no, and maybe, and that would pretty much encompass all of life. Anand Gandhi's film takes us through three strands featuring very different lives and situations, leaving us to taste and engage. And then he brings his planks together in a heartwarming, life-affirming manner. It feels so right that there is a click. On the screen, and in your head.

A visually impaired photographer (Kashef ) goes out with her camera, and finds images which she makes her own. An ailing monk ( Kabi) refuses the sort of medication that may go against his beliefs, and finds faith. And a stockbroker (Shah), nursing a sick relative, makes a long journey to a land far away in order to provide justice.

Each segment is shot as a self-contained unit. And each leads you to a place where you are left asking questions. If your eyes have failed you, does that mean you cannot really see? Or is it that physical sight can actually impede the real, insightful vision? The actress who plays this part does it with such openness and candour that you end up watching her world the way she does, filled with shadow and sound. When she does regain her faculty, does she lose her way of seeing?

Movie review: D-Day

Director: Nikhil Advani

Cast: Arjun Rampal, Irrfan, Rishi Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan, Aakash Dahiya, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Shriswara

 Rating: ***

But for the fact that Advani can't resist ending his film with a salute to the supposedly restless, impatient and blood-thirsty new India, D-Day is a surprising package from a director known so far largely for harmless, fail-safe stories with big stars.

Okay, so the plot is essentially about R&AW sending agents abroad to capture India's most-wanted terrorist -- a guy so obviously Dawood Ibrahim that they don't have to call him that, just allude to it in the title. That's preposterous to begin with but what's heartening is that Advani, who also co-wrote the screenplay, actually tries to make it less so. Plots such as this, especially in mainstream Bollywood and in this blockbuster season of Hollywood, demand and are extended a significant amount of cinematic licence. Within that context, Advani, whether it's in the actors he fills the corners of his scenes with or the way he goes about connecting the dots, appears to care.

The Indian prime minister, who attends calls from 'Madam' at crucial junctures, is an obvious caricature. However, not the R&AW Director Ashwini (played by Nasser) and the cultural attache in the Indian Embassy in Islamabad, both south Indians in an acknowledgement of their strength in this service, nor the Home Ministry bureaucrat bringing the weight of his post down upon them.

Irrfan not surprisingly lifts his role above the mundane, but as an Indian spy based in Karachi for the past 10 years, he has a background rich enough to include an unsuspecting wife (an arresting Shriswara) and son, whom he loves dearly. His dilemma and heartbreak as he leaves them are nicely woven into the main story.

Full text of SRK's statement on surrogate son AbRam

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan announced on Tuesday that he and wife Gauri were parents of a baby boy born with a surrogate, putting to rest rumours swirling around the latest addition to the actor's family.
Shah Rukh Khan confirms the birth of third son, names him AbRam

Here's the text of Khan's official statement:

Amidst all the noise that has been going around, the sweetest is the one made by our new-born baby, AbRam.

He was born prematurely by several months but has finally come home.

Gauri and our whole family have been dealing with his health issues for a long time now.

As a family our silence on this subject has been because of the personal nature of emotional strife that we have been going through due to his health.

We wish to make a special mention and thank Dr. Jatin Shah for his expertise and contribution. We also wish to thank all the other doctors, nurses and medical staff who have made his life possible. As trying were the times, we never lost hope that life always brings with it.

Just to put the record straight there was no sex determination for our child. The baby was born much before the speculations of 'sex determination' and other 'issues' pertaining to the same were being raised in the media by some organisations.

Suffice to say his coming home puts to rest completely false and at times insensitive claims of sex determination and alleged illegalities.

We also apologise to all those other doctors and hospitals who had to face unwanted scrutiny and questioning by some parties.

Our son is a surrogate baby and the entire process is bound by strict confidentiality. We would appeal to all, to allow us to cherish this private moment as a family.

'Timeout with Imam' all about I, me, myself: Imam Siddique

Imam Siddique, who caught the public's attention during his stint on reality show "Bigg Boss 6" in 2012, says his own reality show "Timeout with Imam" puts the spotlight on him.
At the launch of the show Tuesday, Imam said the show is entirely about him and it is packed with everything that a good reality show should have.

"This is based on I, me and myself. I don't want to kill the suspense, you have to understand these are the ingredients for any entertainment package. You have to have drama, suspense, horror and comedy. You'll get all the ingredients which are needed for a good masala show," Imam said.

"Timeout with Imam" is a comedy reality show to go on air on MTV. Its promotional trailers give a glimpse of how the audience will now get a chance to know the real Imam.

Imam is best remembered for his weird antics and temper in the "Bigg Boss" house. However, he says he is a changed person now.

"I hope to god that I have changed from that Imam to this Imam. I have realised the person that I was before I went to 'Bigg Boss' and the person I have become after I came from 'Bigg Boss', are two different people," Imam said.

"I'm not the same Imam who entered the house, that Imam is over. I have changed, for the better, I hope," he added.

"Timeout with Imam" will go on air July 14.

First look : John Abraham and Nargis’ ‘Madras Café’

The first look of Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Madras Café’ featuring John Abraham and Nargis Fakri is out.

John Abraham who plays an Indian Intelligence agent in the flick could be seen with a pistol in his hand. It seems like he is battling with the system as the flick is an Indian Political Drama.

The poster has tagline which says, “Intercept the truth”, clearly indicates that the movie revolves around some bitter truths about our political system which are kept under wraps.
Nargis Fakri who will be seen after 2011 ‘Rockstar’, plays an international reporter in the flick and somewhat resembles a shocking expression in the poster.

Shoojit Sircar who was highly acclaimed for his last year’s ‘Vicky Donor’ has come up with altogether a varying idea in ‘Madras Café’.

The flick will also star Vicky Donor fame Ayushamann Khurana in a pivotal role and is set to release on August 23rd this year.

No friends, No birthday for Ranveer Singh

Apparently not for Ranveer Singh, who danced the night away at an impromptu get-together

As Ranveer Singh turned a year older on Saturday, the actor apparently arranged for an impromptu get-together at his pad for the cast and crew of Lootera.

However, with his co-star Sonakshi Sinha currently holidaying in London and Ranveer's close friend Deepika Padukone travelling to Macau for an awards event, the actor may have missed his buddies on his special days.

Ranveer's good friend and co-star Arjun Kapoor was also not around for the get-together. However since the two were shooting together on Saturday, Arjun managed to wish Ranveer in person and even gifted him a pair of funky headphone as his birthday gift.

Says Ranveer, `I had once told him that I wanted something similar to that. It was really nice of him to remember that and gift me a fabulous pair on my birthday.`

Says a source close to the actor, `Ranveer was in Delhi on the eve of his birthday. He's had a hectic schedule but is happy with the way the audience has reacted to his movie. So he decided to arrange a get-together for the cast and crew of the film.` Co-producer Ekta Kapoor and director Vikramaditya Motwane were also present.

According to those present at the bash, Ranveer apparently spread his charm throughout the party and danced till the wee hours of the morning.

‘D-Day’ Borrows ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Inception’ Stuntmen

Looks like director Nikhil Advani’s upcoming ‘D-Day’ got a shot in the arm with the Hollywood connection. The stunts and the action in the film have been directed by Ton Struthers and John Street, stunt coordinators who have worked on major Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Inception’, ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ and ‘Terminator: Salvation’.

The film ‘D-Day’ revolves around the extradition of a dangerous don from Pakistan to India. It boasts of some high-octane stunts and action set-pieces.

Arjun Rampal says, “It’s intelligent and calculative action. Every actor was specifically trained, keeping in mind the character he/she played. It was an energising and intriguing experience.” The actors were trained in hand-to-hand combat skills as well as martial arts like kickboxing.

Irrfan Khan, who plays an undercover agent said, “The training schedule was an eye-opener. A lot of attention was given to details that are often overlooked. For example, the right way to hold a gun with an injured arm.” It was the first time, Irrfan Khan said, that he was doing serious action for which the training schedules had begun a month before the film’s shoot.

Nikhil Advani, who has forayed into the action genre for the first time said, “Action is a vital part of the screenplay. Instead of going for regular, gravity-defying stunts, I wanted to keep them as authentic as possible.”

Tom Struthers agrees, “The movie has a patriotic element to it. So, it was essential that it reflected in the body language of the actors, especially in the stunt scenes. They were taught to fight like soldiers.”

‘D-Day’ release on 19 July, 2013 and stars Rishi Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Shruti Haasan beside Arjun Rampal and Irrfan Khan.

Don`t want to be a size zero, says Huma Qureshi

Three-film-old Huma Qureshi, who has managed to garner equal adulation and flak for her curves in the size-zero-obsessed industry, prefers to be her pretty self rather than falling for the fad.

Huma was loved for her voluptuous figure and earthy style in her first movie `Gangs of Wasseypur`. But she was criticised by some quarters for her weight issues.

"In `Gangs of Wasseypur` I was the pretty girl, it was glamorous role. In `Ek Thi Daayan` I was the heroine. I have always been the pretty girl. I think there are people who have a craze about size zero but today we do have heroines who are curvier," Huma said in an interview here.

"Either you think of it (weight) as a problem or as an added advantage. I would like to be known for my personality rather than size zero, I am an actress. I don`t want to be a hanger," she said.

Huma feels there are so many actresses today who are not size zero but still have a huge fan following. However, if in the near future a role demands for her to transform herself, she is game for it.

The 26-year-old is looking forward to the release of Nikhil Advani`s `D Day`.

In the film, Huma had to perform some heavy duty stunts and it was not only challenging but difficult as well for her to pull it off.

"More than shooting difficult action sequences, trying to look like a RAW agent, keeping the character in mind, not forgetting the lines etc... There is so much synchronisation that happens when you do action scenes," she said.

"Besides action, there are cars blowing up, gunshots, blast happening in the background and you don`t want to mess it up with (bad) performance... So all that is scary," she added.

The actress has decided that until and unless a very good action film comes her way she will not do one.

`D Day` will see Arjun Rampal playing an ex-officer of an Indian Armed Forces unit, Irrfan Khan an undercover RAW official and Huma an explosive expert. While veteran actor Rishi Kapoor plays a negative role.

"Rishi Kapoor is my favourite co-star in the film he is fun to work with. He has great anecdotes, he is very inspiring. He is child-like... He is dedicated and passionate about his work," she said.

"Irrfan is a great performer. As a co-star its difficult to know what he will do next as he is full of surprises. Having an actor like Irrfan in the film is like a blessing, he takes it (film) to another level. Arjun is the most good looking and fittest actor we have," she added.

Deepika with Ranbir Kapoor for Imtiaz Ali's film?

Deepika Padukone could well be reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor for Imtiaz Ali's next. Though there have been other top names also being thrown around, indications are that the crackling success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani could well tilt the balance in favour of this 'jodi'.

"Imtiaz does take time to move on from one film to another and this has worked in his favour for his new film. Since he hadn't finalised anyone so far, he now has a good choice available in the form of Deepika. The fact that he has worked with Deepika earlier in Love Aaj Kal only works further in everyone's favour," says a source.

Moreover, the pairing of Ranbir and Deepika is in further demand, considering the fact that their Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (190 crore) is now the third highest grosser ever after 3 Idiots (202 crore) and Ek Tha Tiger (190 crore).

"Not that Imtiaz is driven too much by numbers," the source adds, "He roped in a rank newcomer for Rockstar opposite Ranbir when he could have got roped in just about anyone. It is the script fitment for an actor that matters most for him."

Since Deepika has only proven her mettle as an actress with Cocktail last year (which was incidentally written by Imtiaz Ali), just about everything seems to be fitting in well for her.

When contacted, Deepika initially played it all down and said, "The only thing I know about me being a part of the film is based on all the articles that I am reading. I keep hearing that he is considering me for the film and has even made an offer to me. As of now though, there hasn't been any such thing."

On prodding further about her working equation with Imtiaz and the probability of her being seen in the Ranbir starrer, she said, "I have a great rapport with Imtiaz. I am sure that if he is considering me for the film then he will pick up the phone and call me. He gave me my first hit after Om Shanti Om in the form of Love Aaj Kal. We have a great working relationship and personal equation as well. I reach out to him if I need to take some advice. He is someone that I can talk to. He is one person who can understand my silence. I believe we have a big equation."
