As an avid football fan, actor Ranbir Kapoor feels that his home city Mumbai should have a world class stadium for the game.

The 30-year-old actor is the vice-captain of the All Star Football Club, which is led by actor Abhishek Bachchan. The team will play their first game on March 30 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, against the All Hearts Football Club comprising of the Indian Cricket Team, led by captain Virat Kohli.

"I love football. I have been playing the game since school. I carry a football with me, all the time and play with my crew. I feel that infrastructure in Delhi is much better than Mumbai. There isn't any good football stadium there. I would like the authorities to take it up and give the city a world class football stadium," said Ranbir, who is in the capital to promote the charity match to be held this weekend.

Dressed casually in a navy blue polo t-shirt and grey track pants, the Barfi! star braved the capital's heat and enjoyed a fun practice session with the kids of the Magic Bus Charity Foundation.

When asked about his team's preparation for the upcoming match against the cricketing stars, Ranbir said, "I am aware that our opposition is very strong. The captain Virat Kohli is very fit and fast. It is a challenge to play with the Indian cricket team, where every player is so fit.

"But we are also very well prepared. We have taken tips from Baichung Bhutia. We have had three months of practice. Our team is very good- Marc Robinson, Dino Morea, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor- are all excited to take on our opposition," he added.

The actor also discussed future plans of the All Star Football Club and said, "We plan to play in Kolkata, which is the hub of football in our country. We are also planning to get an EPL team to play with us," he said.

After tearful press conference, Sanjay Dutt gets back to work

After an emotional exit from his house in the morning, Sanjay Dutt was calm and composed as he reported back on the sets of his next. HitList captures the man in the moment

Looks like Sanjay Dutt has made up his mind to put on a brave face after breaking down at a press conference yesterday morning.

While the actor got extremely emotional while addressing the media before stepping out of his home yesterday to resume his shoot duties, once he was on the sets, he was apparently calm and composed.

A source from the Kamalistan sets of producer TP Aggarwal's film says, `Sanjay was a picture of serenity once he reached the sets. While several members of the crew got emotional on seeing him, Sanjay maintained a professional attitude. He was putting up a brave face.`

In support of the actor, the entire unit even sported white armbands.

`We want to show our love and support for Sanjay. It is really heartbreaking to see him on the sets and work so professionally even in tough times. Sanju's commitment to his work has stunned us all, ` adds Aggarwal.

Yet another zanjeer

While Sanjay Dutt's team of legal eagles are leaving no stone unturned to get the actor a reprieve from the Supreme Court, looks like he has another obstacle that is keeping him from wrapping up the schedule of one of his pending films.

Sources say that thanks to Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay has to wait to complete his schedule for the official remake of yesteryear hit Zanjeer. PC is currently in Miami to shoot for her second music video.

An insider says, `Sanjay is running against time. He began shooting yesterday for his cop film. In the evening he also began dubbing for Zanjeer's remake, where he plays Sher Khan. The film still needs three to five days of shoot with Sanjay. And that can only happen once Priyanka is back.`

And industry insiders say Rajkumar Hirani, who is directing another of the actor's films, has given him a free hand to work his dates for the pending shoot.

Movie review: Himmatwala, one of the worst remakes

Cast: Ajay Devgn, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mahesh Manjrekar, Paresh Rawal, Zarina Wahab, Adhyayan Suman, Asrani, Sonakshi Sinha (Cameo)

Written and Directed By: Sajjid Khan

Music: Sajid Wajid

Runtime: 2 Hrs 30 Min

Rating: * 1/2

These days, in the absence of innovative scripts, novel ideas and captivating plots, some of our Bollywood biggies seems to be left with no other choice except taking a sousing in the reservoir of tried and tested scripts.

Be it Southerner blockbusters or yesteryear cine delights, everything is emerging as too lucrative for tinsel town cine sorcerers who don't even mind going retro when it comes to movie making. So is the case with Sajjid Khan's over hyped "official remake" of 80s cine cantata "Himmatwala", and over hyped because before the release, Sajjid was seen averring about refunding money, if somebody finds entertainment missing in the movie.

Before going ahead with the post-mortem of the this official remake from the cine lab of Sajid, I take it as my moral responsibility to apprise the masses about the fact, that 80's "Himmatwala" featuring Jeetender, Sri Devi, Amjad Khan and Kadar Khan was a trendsetter movie of Indian cine history, which thoroughly invoked the trend of remaking the southern cine cantatas in Bollywood. Anyhow, coming back to this over hyped cine delight, on it's opening, Himmatwala could only succeed in inviting the foot fall of mere 3-7 percent of cine buffs to the multiplex.

With almost a similar premise and a few new cinematic patches, "Himmatwala" narrates the story of a son, who returns to his native village to avenge the injustice done to his father by a village land lord by wrongly framing him in a robbery.

As the story takes off, Ravi (Ajay) returns to his native village Ramnagar, with an idea of avenging the injustice done to his family by village landlord, Sher Singh (Mahesh Manjerekar), who years back accused his father of robbery and post which Ravi's entire family straggles and slips in to the marshes of hardships.

On reaching his village Ravi finds that his mother and sister whom he assumed to be dead are still alive and are leading a very wretched life on the village outskirts.

On knowing this, Ravi meet them and bring them back to their house in village, where he has a rendezvous with Sher Singh's harlequin loyalist, Narayandass (Presh Rawal) who forewarn Ravi about the dire consequences, but ends up being at the receiving end of Ravi's blows.

As the frames roll ahead steps in finicky daughter of Sher Singh, Rekha (Tamanna Bhatia), who too didn't have a very pleasing first meeting with Ravi. Soon after this, oblivious about Ravi's background, Sher Singh himself steps into the arena and comes across a shocking revelation. And from there a bland punch of Action, humor and masala takes over and starts testing your patience.

Undoubtedly, having a ready made script in ones hands while making a remake of an already hit cine cantata is a sort of win-win situation for the cine framers, but at the same time task becomes a bit steep too, because with a tag of remake pasted over it intrusion of comparison is quite obvious.

With gallons of hope knitted around "Himmatwala", Sajjid tried to pay a supreme tribute to the master piece, but actually ends up offering tons of squirming and jading to the cine buffs by his irksome storytelling.

Although Sajjid tried to do some patch work on the original premise while penning down, Himmatwala, but unfortunately all his efforts went futile.

Sans any captivating component and innovative thought process behind its script "Himmatwala" is too monotonous to tolerate. Be it intensity of action sequences, humor punches or even the romance everything seems to be limping and stodgy. So in script department "Himmatwala" thoroughly lacks captivation.

Screenplay and Dialogues
May be while drafting the screenplay of "Himmatwala", Sajid and his team of experts might have repeatedly referred the previous "Himmatwala", in order to keep line between resemblance and unlikeliness quite clear. But in spite of that, screenplay of "Himmatwala" falls flat on ground and completely fails in engendering any kind of curiosity among the cine buffs.

With melodrama so frequently poking in and dialogues obtruded with a putty of repetitiveness and pretentiousness ,even screenplay of "Himmatwala" don't rescue from the detention of ongoing boredom.

Direction and Technical Perspective
Well, as far as directional perspective is concerned then undoubtedly, Himmatwala is a no path braking saga even on this front too and looks more of a cine tale crafted for heck of doing it.

Although Sajid retained major chunks of original, "Himmatwala", including aural delights like "Naino Mein Sapna" and even the persona of the characters, but inspite of that he completely fails in delivering the kind of of cine tale for which he is known. With everything surrendering to the jaws of melodrama, and obtrusion engendering yawns among the audience "Himmatwala" will definitely disappoint you.

And if we go by the another perspective, that it was Sajid's homage to K. Raghavendra Rao's 1983 release then again it's a very calamitous homage. Infact before going ahead with the remake of path breaking originals ace director like Sajid are expected to get hold of fan's pulse in order to dish out the entertaining delights, but this time Sajid seemed to have flunked on that front too.

Besides this, other technical fronts of "Himmatwala" also seems to be half-baked, be it cinematography, editing everything seems to be originated from backcloth of lacking innovation.

With evergreen original songs from the original, "Naino Mein Sapna" and "Taki Taki" music of Sajid-Wajid is somewhat OK kinds. New addition "Bum Pe Laat" is tolerable and as far as item delights are concerned, then they too somewhat qualifies to be on the other side of the benchmark of satisfaction.

Star Performances
Although there is a widely prevailing notion that intense and up till an extent humorous performances are Ajay's patent styles of acting, but in "Himmatwala", Ajay looks quite comfortable and confident in his retro avatar. Infact it won't be wrong to say that, Ajay thoroughly succeeds in performing what he is expected to.

As far as performance of newbie Tamanna is concerned then inspite of being the leading lady of the movie, she don't get much chance to put forth her acting prowess and end up being a mere glamour frill.

Zarina Wahab is just OK as Ajay's onscreen mother . Mahesh Manjrekar well succeeds in doing a thorough justice to his character and quite comfortably reaches the benchmark set by late Amjad Khan in the original.

With complete absence of expressions, Adhyayan Suman is as good as mannequin. But the man who completely steals the show with his brilliance is, Paresh Rawal.

With some best dialogues in his kitty and a marvellous acting dexterity Paresh surpasses all his co-stars and emerges as true entertainer.

All six item girls including Sonakshi have looked gorgeous and have somewhat succeeded in grabbing some gazes.

BO Potential
After making cash registers ringing with his previous popular films, this time the task seems to be a bit tedious for Sajid. And most probably it's either it's going to be fan following of Ajay or prevailing notions about Sajid's style of cinematography, which may do some miracles for this sinking cine vessel whose survival on BO for a long span of time seems to be a next to impossible.

To sum up, you really need to be a real "Himmatwala" with tons of courage to tolerate this over hyped cine obsession from the house of Sajid Khan. And yeah, after leaving the cinema hall don't forget to claim your money back.

Contrary to belief, which expected Kareena to sashay down the ramp for her best friend Manish Malhotra, Kareena picked up and coming designer Namrata Joshipura for her ramp debut this year. And the lovely lass had even more surprises in store, when we spoke to her after her sizzling catwalk.

Kareena said that her husband Saif likes her in every colour, when she shyly revealed: “Saif likes to see me in every colour. He has no choice!”

Though hubby Saif was missing from the front row, where he’s usually seen cheering on his wife whenever she takes to the ramp, Kareena was unfazed when she laughed it off: “We are not missing Saif… let him work. He sees me walk the ramp every day at home.”

The biggest surprise of all: Kareena is a pyjamas and T-shirt girl! “I love pajamas and a T-shirt. I wish I could walk the ramp like that,” said the stylish Bollywood beauty.

watch out: 'Go Goa Gone' trailer Saif as zombie hunter!

In the world of the living, the walking dead make a fanciful subject, and while most of the Indians might still relate the word Zombie with Hollywood or the popular rock song by The Cranberries, actor-producer Saif Ali Khan has made Bollywood’s first zomcom Go Goa Gone -- a zombie comedy.

Produced by Saif Ali Khan-Dinesh Vijan’s Illuminati Films, the movie is about three friends -- Vir Das, Kunal Khemu and Anand Tiwary -- who go to Goa and get caught in an adventure with Russian drug mafia, played by Saif, who is also a zombie hunter. The actor has even dyed his hair blonde to look the part, as he plays a Russian named Boris.

However, in the trailer when Anand Tiwary raises a doubt about Saif and says that he looks 'desi’, Saif says, Haan yaar, dilli se hoon…be***. Funnily, when the three friends encounter zombies for the first time, they conclude that the reason for zombies seen now in India is Globalization -- In firangiyon ne watt laga di hai..pehle leke aaye HIV, ab zombie.

Saif Ali Khan says about his role, “He is tough and cool, but also very funny. He has a good heart and is brave. The dynamics between him and the boys is hysterical. I was very excited to play Boris the zombie hunter and even happier to produce this film.”

The trailer of Go Goa Gone is the wackiest to come out this year, and is not at all scary even with the ugly zombies walking on the beaches of Goa. Is it a spoof on horror films, something along the lines of the Scary Movie series?

The movie has been directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and is expected to release on May 10. Catch here the entertaining trailer of Go Goa Gone:

Check out: ‘Aashiqui 2’ trailer and song ‘Tum Hi Ho’

When the Bhatts decided to come up with Aashiqui 2, they were on a hunt for fresh faces, but their search ended with Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, not newcomers but not overexposed as well. The two are indeed looking stunning together in the trailer.

The trailer begins with a voiceover in Aditya Roy Kapur’s voice -- “Pyaar, mohabbat, aashiqui sirf lafzon ke siva kuch nahi..par jab woh milee in lafzon ko maaine mil gaye..”. The love-struck boy rejoices in the newfound love and the song plays in the background is Kyunki tum hi, haan tum hi ho..zindagi... Then follow a series of romantic scenes between the two lovers.

While Aditya as a lover and a singer is a far cry from Rahul Roy in the original, Shraddha Kapoor as a simple girl-next-door is impressive and emotes mostly through her eyes. Her face may not remind you of Anu Aggarwal, but her acting does.

As both Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur are set to revive the sweet 90s’ romance with Aashiqui 2, one may wonder about the storyline of the film. Well, according to the director Mohit Suri, the film has a fresh story and is not exactly a sequel. The movie is a musical journey of two lovers who go through love and hate, twists and turbulence, success and failure in their lives.

Since the music of 1990 film Aashiqui created history and was a big hit, Mohit Suri has tried to recreate the charm of the musical love story with 10 romantic songs in the sequel. The music of the film is by Mithoon (of Woh Lamhe fame) and Jeet Ganguly. The makers have already released the first song of the film, Tum Hi Ho (a Mithoon composition) -- the song was celebrated in the teaser as well.

Catch the musical trailer of Aashiqui 2, and the video of the mellifluous song Tum Hi Ho here

“She has paid advance tax of a whopping Rs. 4.5 crore this year. Last fiscal year, she had two blockbusters— Ek Tha Tiger (2012) with Salman and late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan. Both of them are in the 100 Crore Club. So there is no surprise that she has reigned this year.” said a source closse to the actress.

Coming second to Katrina is  none other than Kareeena Kapoor, she paid around 4 Crore rupees towards tax. Paying advance tax has become a recent trend. It has become to measure a star’s status. But we can’t help but notice the difference between the male and female actors. While Amitabh Bachchcan paid around 25 Crore, while Katrina just paid 4.5 Crores, which is less than a quarter.

When contacted, Katrina confirmed the news. “Paying regular taxes is the right thing to do. It just enables the smooth functioning of the state and (once the taxes are done) actors like us can continue with our job of entertaining our fans,” says the actor.

Katrina visited Ranbir Kapoor secretly

Despite their continuous denial, reports about the brewing romance between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif continue to do rounds.

Recent reports state that on Sunday afternoon, the actress was seen walking out of Ranbir Kapoor’s home, looking all pleased and delighted. Few minutes later, the actor followed.

Kats is in Mumbai these days, busy training for her upcoming flick Dhoom 3 and also possibly a gig for the IPL opening ceremony.

Though the duo have always maintained to the world that they are “just friends”, it is quite evident that Kats and RK are very much an item. This is not the first time that either of them have been spotted walking out of each other’s homes. In the past too, Ranbir was clicked several times entering or exiting Katrina’s flat.

Meanwhile, buzz is that Katrina Kaif has been finalised to star opposite beau Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s next. If true, this will be the third time Katrina and Ranbir will be seen on the screen together, their previous being Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti.

Katrina wants to be part of film shot in Japan

Not many may be aware that Katrina Kaif lived in Japan for some time during her growing up years.

The actress has fond memories of the country. The actress went on a nostalgia trip about the land of the rising sun when Kabir Khan (who directed her in Ek Tha Tiger) told her about his plans of releasing her film there.

Says Kabir, "Before I left for Japan for the premiere of Ek Tha Tiger, I spoke to Katrina about the film being released on April 20. She was excited about it. She has spent two years in the country so there are a lot of memories attached to the place."

He adds, "She even made me learn a few Japanese words that would come in handy. Katrina still remembers whatever she had learnt as a youngster."

More importantly the star also told Kabir that if he shot a film in Japan, she would have to be part of the cast! Kabir, along with Yash Raj Films folk Avtar Panesar and Aashish Singh, scoured for locations to shoot a film across different cities in Japan.

Adds Kabir, "Even though YRF was just checking the possible locations in the country, Katrina told me that if I ever had to make a film that was going to be shot in Japan, I would have to cast her."

Kat was unavailable for the premiere of her film with Salman Khan due to her shoot commitments. "As she was busy, she could not make it but she is keen to visit Japan again," informs Kabir.

Movie Review : Rangrezz

Movie : Rangrezz

 Rating : 3 / 5

Cast: Jackky Bagnani, Priya Anand, Rajpal Yadav, Amitosh Nagpal, Vijay Varma

Music : Sajid-Wajid, Sunder C Babu

Cinematography: Santosh Sivan

Director: Priyadarshan

Rishi(Jaccky bagnani), Winu(Amitosh nagpal), Pakkya(Vijay Varma) are the 3 best friends who are unemployed and are almost on the verge of setting the things right. Suddenly one day Rishi’s childhood friend Joy turns up and meets Rishi with a depressive mood and eventually tries to commit suicide because his mother is not allowing him to marry the girl he loves and same happens with his lover’s family. Rishi promises Joy that he will somehow bring the girl to him and get them married, during this process Rishi, Winu and Pakkya will come across dangerous incidents where 3 of them will almost ruin their lives. But Joy and his lover are married and will be on a honeymoon trip which is safe and secured funded by Rishi’s another trusted friend. Rest of the movie is about how drastically the lives of the 3 friends change and we’ll see if the risk 3 friends took to unite Joy with his lover is worth what they lost or not. And movie concludes with a strong message to the youth regarding friendship and marriage.

Actor’s Performances:
This is Jaccky Bagnani’s 4th film, in the past he did some romantic/comedy movies but he still needs to improve a lot in terms of subtle acting. This movie demanded an intense performance supported with exceptional dialogue delivery from him but however he does his job partially. Amotosh Nagpal and Vijay Varma did good job as trusted friends of Jaccky, Rajpal Yadav did a very good job in his short appearance. All the other characters did not have much screen space but everyone did decent job.

Technical Aspects:
Technically movie was flawless I can say, background music given by Sunder C babu is outstanding and at times gives you Goosebumps while watching, even songs composed by sajid Wajid are decent and hummable. Cinematography is exceptional as expected from the maestro Santosh Sivan; he made sure the movie’s intensity is never low with his splendid camera work. Editing is up to the mark without any issues and I must say producers have never compromised and made movie very good in terms of technical aspects.

Before analyzing I want to let you people know that ‘Rangrezz’ is the remake of Tamil super-hit ‘Nadodigal’ with no changes whatsoever.

Movie starts off well with each character being introduced serially and 1st 30 minutes is all about defining characters and was done pretty well as all of them seem very natural and tone is set up perfectly. And then the movie picks up the pace and chase in the pre-interval block is the highlight of the movie, Priyadarshan shot that exceptionally well and he was equally supported by Santosh Sivan’s cinematography and Sunder C Kumar’s sensational background music. This is the scene where you will feel Goosebumps on your hands and you’ll be glued to the screen. 2nd half of starts off on the slower note and is mostly about how well 3 friends deal with the crisis in their lives and become successful.

After all the hard work done by the director throughout the movie he just needs a perfect finish to the movie in order to make a it successful, but however climax of the movie is where Priyadarshan could not do complete justice and neither could Jaccky and Co do anything about it. Climax of the Tamil version of the movie was shot so well and was very well enacted by the actors which made audience emotionally connect to the message that they deliver and come out with positive verdict but ‘Rangrezz’ fails to do that and hence turns out to be yet another average fare at the box-office.

But some group of audience may appreciate the movie for its fresh concept with respect to Bollywood but I don’t think this movie will yield anything spectacular in terms of collections or awards.

Bottom-line: Rangrezz is a one-time watch especially for its fresh concept and intense pre-interval block.

Movie Review: Aatma is a waste of your Time and Energy

Starring: Bipasha Basu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Darshan Jariwala, Doyel Dhawan, Shernaz Patel

Directed by: Suparn Verma

Aatma is a (Wannabe) Horror Film directed by Suparn Verma. Suparn Verma is the same director who made 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' with Fardeen Khan, Koena Mitra and Feroz Khan. The film was a Copy/Rip-Off/Inspiration from Hollywood Movie 'Con-Fidence' which had Dustin Hoffman. He later made 'Acid Factory' with Fardeen Khan, Irrfan, Danny Dengzongpa and other big star-cast. Acid Factory was again a Copy/Rip-Off/Inspiration of Jason Statham's 'The Unknown'. Aatma is his third film as a Director.

Suparn Verma also spread a News through his PR Machinery (While shooting 'Aatma') that he has restricted the last 10 Pages of his film's script to the film's cast and crew members just to maintain the curiosity of the "Tight-Suspense" in the film. After watching the film, Aatma's script should have been restricted from the Audience.

The film centres around one-time married couple Abhay (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Maya (Bipasha Basu) as they battle for their child Nia’s love. It’s as much about a father’s undying love for his daughter and it is about a mother’s unwillingness to make a sacrifice. Even though Maya silently suffers abuses from her psycho husband, she manages to cut him off legally but struggles to get rid of his devilish spirit. The possessive father who goes about punishing anyone and everyone and who taunts or punishes or teases his little girl. Also, The merciless husband who tortures his wife but stops only when he thinks his actions might have woken up his sleeping daughter.

The film only and only works for the performances of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bipasha Basu. And trust me, They both have carried this Script-less, Entertain-less film on their shoulders. Doyel Dhawan as the daughter Nia is very cute. Rest of the cast which includes polished actors such as Darshan Jariwala and Shernaz Patel acted well.

The film also reminded me of Jaya Pradha and Jeetendra starrer 'Maa' (1992) at many points. The only change in Aatma, It's the father who comes back for her daughter with his undying love for her.

Suparn Verma once again shows his weakness in an unconventional and abrupt climax making this horror trip rather uninspiring and an Old wine in a new (Wannabe) bottle. Cinematography is good and so is the background score.

Aatma is a film which is a waste of your time and energy. Please take a small 'Holiday Vacation' instead of entering a Cinema Hall to watch this one.

Katrina Kaif in Zoya Akhtar’s Bombay Talkies

Post Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, buzz is that Katrina Kaif and Zoya Akhtar are very keen on doing more films together. Now the latest we hear is that Katrina has been finalized to do a special role in the Zoya Akhtar’s film Bombay Talkies.

Apparently, Zoya had a blast working with Kat in ZNMD. She promised Katrina to rope her in in one of her future projects too. Keeping her vow, Zoya signed the Bollywood barbie in her segment of Bombay Talkies, a film which is a compilation of four short films, an ode to Indian cinema.

It is heard that Kats role is that of a muse to a young boy, who is an ardent fan of her. Well, in the end, the young boy’s secret dream of meeting Katrina Kaif comes true. Katrina will be featured as herself in the film.

Does this story remind you of SRK’s film Om Shanti Om, where Shahrukh’s dream of meeting Shanti Priya, came true?

BOMBAY TALKIES is an ode to cinema by four prolific filmmakers – Zoya Akhtar, Dibarkar Bannerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.

While Anurag Kashyap’s film has Amitabh Bachchan in main role, Karan Johar theme is about a director who sells love through films.

Ranveer Singh quits Twitter, only to remain active on Facebook

Ranveer Singh turned one of the hottest guys in Bollywood soon after his first flick Band Baja Baarat made it to theatres. After witnessing growth and happiness in every sphere of life, he is now hung up in a mess as his twitter account was suspended with which he is quite annoyed. And we think, he’s done with Twitter!

The 27 year old remains active on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, however, he lately faced difficulties with his account on the latter. Failing to surface from it, he left a status on Facebook, he posted, “i hav quit twitter and will there be on facebook from today.i want this should be known to my twitter fans so tweet it to ur friends.”

Earlier, he posted, “somehow my twitter account got suspended.the live chart which was scheduled on saturday is posponded for a those who follow me on twitter can share this information ontwitter.” Ranveer Singh remains bold with his status and what’s in the heart is on his tongue.

The actor is now anticipating the release of his next flick where is paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha, the film is titled Lootera. Lootera is slated to release on July 5. Watch its trailer below.

Saif Ali Khan creates scene at Lucknow airport

The newly wed Khan of the Tinsel Town Saif Ali, on Thursday, had a tiff with security men at the Chowdhary Charan Singh airport here after he was asked to vacate the VIP lounge.

An ugly row ensued when the actor sat in the VIP lounge and was asked to move out by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) as he was not in the list of VIPs entitled to the facility.

"When the actor refused to move out and tried to throw around his weight, he was forcibly evicted from the lounge," said an airport source.

The furious actor then created a scene, only to sober down when senior officials intervened.

Saif Ali Khan had arrived in Lucknow to take part in the shooting of "Bullet Raja" two days back and was headed to New Delhi.

After the tiff, he waited in the open area like any other traveller and left on a Jet Airways flight.

Confirming the incident, CISF commandant Gyanendra Kumar told reporters that the actor was asked to leave after airport officials brought it to their notice that he was an unauthorized occupant of the VIP lounge.

Song remixes always face split audience: Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayushmann Khurrana, whose upcoming film "Nautanki Saala" features remixed versions of two old Bollywood songs, says there will always be a split audience as far as such numbers are concerned.

Present at the launch of an album "The Bartender B 70" Wednesday, a remix of megastar Amitabh Bachchan's songs, Ayushmann said: "I love 1970s songs and retro music... There will always be two kinds of audiences, one who are against remixes and the other who support remixes."

He said "The Bartender B 70" caters to the latter.

"The twist they have given to the songs is very young and caters to the young audience," added the 28-year-old, who also sings and composes himself.

"Nautanki Saala" features "Dhak dhak" from the film "Beta" and "So gaya yeh jahaan" from "Tezaab". The original songs were hits of their times.

Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, who has produced "Nautanki Saala", says remixing does not take anything away from a song and old will always remain gold.

"We have heard a lot of old songs and they still sound so good even after 50 to 60 years. But what is the problem with these (remix) songs then," the 66-year-old said at the same event.

"That time also they were nice and they are nice even after being presented in this new fashion. You should appreciate it. Old will always remain gold, that will not change. But this is a new avatar, try it then it is upto the audiences. At least give them a chance," added Sippy.

Will Salman -Aishwarya , Amitabh -Rekha, ever become friends?

Bollywood industry has completed 100 years and has always brought fantastic movies for the viewers. It is correct that there is nothing which can't happen in the industry but there are some instances that have been regretted by stars and fans alike. One of the most searched detail remains "relationships in Bollywood". Many of the stars that have split, have become friends and have forgotten the past except Salman-Aishwarya and Amitabh-Rekha.

Reports of link up and break up have now become common. There are several celebrities like Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor-Shahid Kapoor who were in a relationship, than they broke up and now they are good friends. For them there is no issues to work with their exes if there is good script.

But Amitabh-Rekha or Salma-Aishwarya, are usually spotted avoiding each other at award shows and other events, relating to the industry. Talking of the veterans - Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha were never seen together on screen after Silsiley.

Salman and Aishwarya: What to say and what to not. After their break-up, the couple were never spotted together anywhere. They were last seen in the flick Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam in which Ash appeared in guest appearance.

Subjugates that went past their relationship status
- Nobody would have wondered that after break-up Salman and Katrina would have appeared together in Ek Tha Tiger as they were apparently in a relation but never made it public.

- Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are the current examples of split and patch. They broke-up back in 2009, but now they are good friends and soon, they will be seen together again in a film.

- Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor broke up when they were shooting for the filmJab We Met but they didn't just complete the film but also promoted it together. Kareena even says that she would do any film with Shahid but good script is the apex demand.

- Ex-couple Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu's relation was public but they departed because of some reasons but now they too are friends and are often spotted together having fun with friends.

Now the question is, if they can become friends then why not Amitabh-Rekha and Salman-Ash? Well, their fans really want them to be friends, and wish to see these couples together on screen.

Rani Mukerji turns 35!

Rani Mukerji – who started her career in Bollywood with the 1997 social drama ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Barat’ – has turned 35 today.

Though unable to make a big impact with her first film, the Bengal Tigress entered the league of the most sought after actresses with Karan Johar’s blockbuster ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

Since then, there’s been no looking back for Rani – who has been a part of critically acclaimed movies like ‘Black’, ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Yuva’.

Nonetheless, Rani has garnered her fair share of controversy during the past few years regarding her relationship with Aditya Chopra.

The talented actress almost disappeared from movies for a very long time, but made a comeback with ‘Aaiya’ - which failed to fare well at the box office – but managed to regain her status with ‘Talaash’ – in which she stars opposite Aamir Khan.

Rani hails from a family of acclaimed actors, filmmakers and singers – Kajol, Ayan Mukerji, Ram Mukherjee and Krishna Mukherjee.

Here’s wishing Rani a very happy birthday!

Aishwarya make her onscreen comeback with Varun Dhawan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the divine beauty ruling the hearts around the world, may make her comeback on the silver screen after a gap of two years opposite the Student of The Year star Varun Dhawan.

An inside source said, "Nothing is finalized yet, but (director) Sriram Raghavan has reached out to Aishwarya and Varun. Neither of them want to talk about it yet, since things are at an initial stage. In the last two weeks, Varun and Sriram have met a few times to discuss the project. Varun is believed to be a big fan of the kind of films Sriram is known for."

The film will be produced by the man behind Sholay, Ramesh Taurani and it might be a horror flick.

It has been reported that Varun has given a yes to the movie but the makers are waiting for Aish's reaction. Also, if all goes as per plans, the film will go on floors, later this year.

Currently, Varun is shooting for his father David Dhawan's directorial venture Main Tera Hero. The film is being produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Sriram remained unavailable for a comment whereas the producer Tauranimade himself available. He said, "We have signed Sriram, and work is underway on the script. Once that is ready, we will look at casting."

Kangana as she turns 26

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who has established her foothold in the B-town has turned 26  as it’s the curly beauty’s birthday.

Having hits like ‘Who Lamhe’, ‘Life In A Metro’, ‘Fashion’, ‘Raaz’, ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and many others in her resume, this gorgeous actress started her career as a theatre person with Asmita Theatre Group in New Delhi.

She bagged the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and IIFA Best Female Debut Award for her first movie titled ‘Gangster’ in 2006 opposite Shiny Ahuja and Emraan Hashmi. Later she went on to bag the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her outstanding role in ‘Fashion’.

The actress is currently busy with her upcoming movies that include ‘Shootout At Wadala’, ‘Krish 3’, ‘I Love NY’ and ‘Queen’. Total Filmy and its readers wish the actress a very Happy Birthday.

Queen in the making

Kangana Ranaut is currently busy shooting for her upcoming women-centric movie ‘Queen’ in which she plays the lead.

According to a source, “True to the film’s name even the crew showed woman power in abundance. The director, Vikas Bahl, realised later that wherever he shot the film, most of the crew members were women.”

Talking about his team, the director said, “I have an exceptionally talented team. It’s great to see women competing neck-and-neck with men in all fields.”

Major parts of Queen have been shot in Amsterdam and Paris, with a few sequences canned in Delhi. Kangana plays an uptown Delhi woman in the movie shot in Amsterdam, Paris and New Delhi and Raj Kumar plays the male lead.

Kangana allergic towards institution of marriage
It seems all male fans of Kangana Ranaut are in for a heart break as the actress has candidly revealed in a recent interview that she is allergic towards the institution of marriage.

Speaking about her future plans to a leading publication, the curly-haired actress said that she had no plans of marriage anytime soon and even later on as she led a very hectic life.

According to the actress she was not “worth handling a full-time boyfriend” due to her busy schedule and she said, “I cannot address the person’s needs of just wanting to be around them by getting married.”

This sure comes as bad news as she is currently amongst the most sought after spinster in Bollywood. Perhaps the lady will change her mind and we will get to hear the wedding bells for her and her Mr Perfect.

Till then, we wish her all the best!

SRK's son, Big B's granddaughter are best buddies!

It seems that Shahrukh Khan's teenage son Aryan Khan is going to snatch all the lime light away from his star father soon.

Aryan lodged in London's Sevenoaks School is making headlines for his appearance in a snap with a classmate. Sounds pretty normal for a teenager but if that mate happens to be megastar Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli, people will be compelled to think that the word is indeed a small place.

Navya, born to Big B's daughter Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda is the actor's eldest grand child. The couple also has a son named Agastya.

Navya and Aryan are classmates and they share a good bond. The image of the duo was posted by a fan on twitter. Apart from Navya and Aryan in the picture, there are other kids too enjoying their day out.

It seems that the two kids enjoy their company alot.

Aamir Khan rejects 200 scripts in the last 12 months

Aamir Khan, who started his production house by producing a Bollywood classic “Lagaan” in 2000 had then delivered blockbusters like “Rand De Basanti”, ” Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” has known to have rejected 200 scripts in the last 1 year including the scripts from top directors like Vishay Bharadwaj, Pradeep Sarkar and Priyadarshan.

On the other hand all the top league production houses in the Bollywood have lined up their releases for 2014 and started to make schedules for 2015 releases. But Aamir Khan productions has not even okayed one project after ‘Talaash’ even after getting flooded with lot of scripts every month.

According to the employees at AK Productions, they receive around 15 scripts every month which go through a 3 round scrutiny before going to Aamir Khan himself to give the final wave. It has been said that out of 200 scripts that they have got last year only 15 made it to last round but Aamir Khan has put the thumbs down for those too.

Looking at the attitude of Aamir Khan it clearly implies that he does not want to make movies for the money but instead he wants to deliver the classics which are par to his factory products like ‘Lagaan’ , and ‘Rang De Basanti’ and after ‘Talaash’ did not do that well Aamir Khan has become even more cautious and choosy.

Hope there will be a new project announced soon from the Aamir Khan Productions which will create a huge hype after knowing the extreme choosy nature of his.

Yet once gain Salman Khan has taken new girls under his wing!

Sanjay Dutt gets 5 years in jail

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been convicted and sentenced to five years in jail by Supreme Court today in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.

The Supreme Court upheld the conviction but reduced the sentence of 6 years to 5 years in jail that Sanjay Dutt earlier got from TADA court. Since Dutt has already spent 18 months in jail, he will only need to serve the sentence for three-and-a-half years now.

Sanjay Dutt has been convicted for illegal possession of arms in the run-up to the 1993 blasts in Mumbai that claimed 257 lives and left 700 people injured. He has, however, been acquitted of terror charges under the Terrorists and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act. But he was denied probation in view of gravity of the crime.

When the verdict was given out by the apex court on Thursday, Sanjay Dutt was at his Pali Hill residence in Mumbai, observing the proceedings.

Dutt has been given four weeks to surrender. He can also file a review petition in Supreme Court. So all the legal options aren’t exhausted yet.

Sanjay Dutt has lately been busy shooting for the film Policegiri. As per trade pundits, approximately Rs. 300 crore to 350 crore is riding on him.

Aamir Khan with lipstick and mascara again

Aamir Khan has yet again donned the garb of a woman for a commercial. In 1995 too, the actor had donned the woman’s avatar for a cabaret song in his film ‘Baazi’. The perfectionist Khan also played woman for two different TV ads in 2005 and 2008. Now, he plays an actor researching for the role of a women, in his new commercial.

The ad sees Aamir dressed in a bright colored salwar kameez, wearing red lipstick and kolh eyes. He visits his neighbours house, leading to a lot of funny instances.

Trusted make-up artist Mickey Contractor, who has been responsible for Aamir’s make over the previous three times, was once again hired for this new commercial.

“Aamir was a bit irritated with the wig and the net that we stuck to the side. He had to shave at least twice a day, wear stockings, a bra and a woman’s costume,” Contractor is quoted as saying.

The trial session itself took two-and-a-half hours. However, all was perfect on the day of the shoot.

“We realised the wig wasn`t working, and we wanted a few other changes as well after that test. So we came back and worked on it. On the day of the shoot, everything came together.” Mickey said.

Ranbir Kapoor spotted with his 'Awaara' tattoo

Ranbir Kapoor, who recently launched the trailer of his upcoming flick Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani, seems to have join the gang of the tinsel town's celebs as he was seen flaunting a tattoo on the wrist of his right hand.

The tattoo was easily readable. It stated the word 'Awaara' written in a Devnagri font. The rumours following the tattoo are that Ranbir might be paying his tribute to his grandfather and the Awaara hero Raj Kapoor.

Also, Ranbir is a part of Bombay Talkies, a film that will mark a 100th birthday of Bollywood so the Casanova might flaunt his tattoo for a special song in the film.

A close source said that the tattoo can be erased. He said, "Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani is still being shot. He came directly from the sets to the event and didn't have time to take the tattoo off. It goes with his character."

Ranbir, brandishing the 'Awaara' tattoo, is a tribute to his great grandfather or is this a new way of marketing his special song in Bombay Talkies? What say?
